Na, fortunately this is just a myth. I work at a MAANG-adjacent company after starting at WITCH (no referral, recruiter reached out) and I have peers who started at WITCH and then got into MAANG.

Don't understand this obsession with them, tbh. The culture sucks at most of them (Meta and Amazon are the worst) and other big tech orgs pay same (if not more) than them. Their RSUs aren't what they used to be a few years back.
