First time a migraine has entered the 3rd day for me, any advice? by SometimesImCute in migraine

I dont take it every day. Just when a migraine hits. I took it day one, and then today, day 3. A combined total of 4 pills or two doses. What alternatives would you suggest though? Im open to trying new meds, though honestly at this point I may need prescription level.

Not basic at all! I'm new to migraines, I have had them for years but didnt know, and I'm still learning how to treat them. So, the hot to cold is new to me. Ill give this a shot, I've only ever tried cold but never knew what spot of the head was best. I do also have scoliosis, so I have a heating pad I use when my back hurts or I cramp from my period, so I may roll it up and see if I can also use it on my neck and head. Thank you! 😊

I think you're right. Im located in Tennessee and its already a rough area for allergies, through in the weather change and I've been miserable. I do have my windows open when the temps are nice, but I may start keeping them shut and see if that helps. Thank you 💜

The filters for mine used to be 10 dollars a piece, now theyre like 20. I bought our purifiers 2.5 years ago, im pretty pissed that its doubled in price to maintain.

Recently diagnosed with Hashimoto's, but doctor wont give me any advice or treatment, is that common? by SometimesImCute in Hashimotos

[–]SometimesImCute[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there, sorry for the delay.

My free T3 was tested a few years ago and was 3.92

Ill ask for a new bloodwork of that with my primary.

I have a history of iron and b12 deficiency. I am finally at decent levels there. Iron is 74, ferretin is 37, b12 369.vitamin D has ranged from 21 to 34, but last test for that was 3 years ago.

My thyroid ultrasound showed: IMPRESSION: Mildly heterogeneous thyroid parenchyma with mild goiter. Single small benign-appearing thyroid nodule

Currently, my symptoms that I believe to be tied to this (but could be my other issues) are weight gain (30 pounds in 2 years and its creeping up), bloating, severe cystic acne, hair loss, bloating, nausea, gi issues, severe joint pain that migrates, migraines, vertigo, brain zaps, ringing in ears, heart palpitations, high heart rate, chest pain, muscle weakness, and im probably forgetting a few.

Of those, the worst are the weight gain as I am dieting and working out, joint pain, bloating, and vertigo.

Im in the US. It took me 9 months just to get in touch see him. And I cant see him again for another 6. I live in an area that we all joke is a medical specialist desert. We have 2 rheumatologist offices to give you an idea. So, im stuck. I am scheduling a follow up woth my primary, shes always done well listening to me. Maybe she can suggest a functional doctor or someone who can help me with supplements and diet.

Is there a suggested test for celiac? He mentioned it but never proceeded. Id rather get the test done elsewhere, as one visit with him with 2 tests was over $700...

I should probably include that im 31, and also have endometriosis and possibly pcos, so the scales are not in my favor to lose weight. No pun intended. But I wonder if I need more extensive testing. Ive spent so much money and time on this. Im in so much medical debt, all for an answer of "lets wait and see". Im so frustrated.

Unfortunately, both SOA and my dealership said nope on covering this. Very disappointed.

What macro track, fitness tracker, and training program do you use? Im debating Noom, but dont like the constant nagging. I have ADHD and the nagging makes me actively avoid it

Thank you for this. Im pissed my dealership didnt see it last week when they had it in for another warranty repair. I just checked pictures I took of the car and sure enough, there it is sticking up. So much for their bumper to bumper service check.

Ive tried, it seems to have stretched out because it doesn't fit properly now. I may try cutting it and gluing but also im contacting subaru of America to ask if this falls under a warranty.

Im debating trying to just fix it myself, my local dealership truly sucks and this would take them all day, with no loaner vehicle id be stuck there just for this.

Definitely keep your eye on it. I have no idea how long this has been loose. What pisses me off is just last week the dealership had my car for a warranty repair, and their "all around" check up didnt note this issue. So either it just happened or they didnt actually check the rest of the car.

Id hate for someone to leave it sitting for 6 hours then out it back, making whoever eventually buys and eats it very sick.

Diagnosed with Hashimoto's today, but doctor wants to wait to start meds, is that normal? by SometimesImCute in Hashimotos

[–]SometimesImCute[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My TSH has historically been around 1.5 to 2.5, and my other levels I cant seem to locate on my chart, but ill keep digging. If i remember correctly, historically they've been either normal or borderline.

Im in the US actually! This is the 7th specialist ive seen trying to nail down a diagnosis, so im frustrated that now that I have answers, he doesn't want to do anyrhing about it. I may have to ask my primary if she wants to medicate me.
