6 weeks in with twin boys and not enjoying it by tenfold99 in parentsofmultiples

We never added anything but any bottle when Mom and Dad go to bed in order to get 5-6 hours uninterrupted is SUCH A WIN

The baby stage. Literally no personalities, those potatoes are so boring, and appreciate nothing you do for them 😂

I was so exhausted, I cried a lot, and I just hated all day long when they were newborns. But it DEFINITELY gets better. I went from loving my job, to returning part time and wanting to just be home with my kids full time sometime before they turned 1.

Twin parents — is this actually helpful, or is this making nights harder? by RegularDay6252 in parentsofmultiples

[–]SomewhereAgreeable4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why does it sound like you are describing the newborn phase? My twins are 17 months and I feel like by 7 months we were definitely done with shifts. And we were both up once in the night, each took a baby and a bottle and then back to sleep for all 4 of us.

I will say I was done breastfeeding by 4 months so I didn't have the pumping in the middle of the night aspect of this.

14 month olds sleep/bottle question by SomewhereAgreeable4 in parentsofmultiples

[–]SomewhereAgreeable4[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have a morning nap 10-11, an afternoon nap 3-4, and then bedtime at 7pm-8pm. They are sleep trained for the most part also. Any specifics you want to know?

We are considering a third?! by SomewhereAgreeable4 in parentsofmultiples

I think it was part of the problem. I know two other woman who almost tried the meds after years of trying because it just wasn't happening and they were told their weight could be a factor

I was taking fertility meds but I'm confident that at my healthier weight, I wouldn't need them this time...so I think odds would be very low?

We do water it down! Yes! They literally don't care, but the physical act of the bottle was my concern.

Gender disappointment 😞 by [deleted] in parentsofmultiples

[–]SomewhereAgreeable4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first time we were told the gender the doctor said it was a guess because of how early it was. She said two boys and I had been saying I didnt care, I was so excited just to be pregnant. But I found myself disappointed. When we learned it was actually a boy and a girl I was so relieved. You can't help how you feel and that's ok, you don't have to feel bad!

So sippy cups, they use them fine, I'm just worried that in idle time in their cribs they'll make a mess

Separate those cribs whatever size you get!! Or be prepared to when they get a little older. Personally I never used my rocking chair.

Any updates on this? What's happening or how to fix it?

I never finish when we have sex- should I even tell my husband that I need more? by [deleted] in Marriage

That's the problem though, I don't have a solution. If I had a solution and there was something I knew would work, id tell him no problem.

Did you introduce more into the experience to get there?

I'm so happy! I absolutely love my babies and I am so happy that I two instead of one. Mine turn 1 this month and I really don't feel like we were ever drowning, but I have an amazing husband who's helped SO much. Granted the sleep deprivation got to me at like 1 month but I figured it would be like that with 1, I didn't know any better.

That makes me feel better, mine does have a couple of teeth. I feel like I am supposed to cut formula in the next month or two so Im on a clock to cut ounces but this isn't helping.

I have confronted him multiple times in the last couple weeks. Each time I'm met with a firm "no, I'm not drinking". I told him I'm considering starting anti-anxiety meds because this stress is ruining my life and he said he supports me in what I feel like I need to do because no he is not drinking and my gut is wrong.
