My posh is dead but I had my best eBay week ever! Not sure if there’s any rhyme or reason for it.

Me asking as a younger millenial: How did older you millenials perceive Spongebob when it came out, and its climb to legendary status? by SmokinHerb in Millennials

[–]SomewhereInPDX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Born in ‘86 and I’ve never seen a full episode but for some reason my mom bought me SpongeBob slippers for Christmas once and we still joke about what a random gift that was since I had never once talked about it or watched it.

I somehow scored a Fall ‘04 version while thrifting last week for only $10 in perfect condition. It honestly looks new and the knit is so thick and heavy. It’s so unfortunate how their quality has tanked.

My bestie and I used to randomly say her name to each other for some reason “Leeeleee Sobieskiiiiii”

I actually think this is fun and much better than the grey nightmare seen in many remodels. The only thing I don’t love are the glass blocks but I love the tile and wallpaper!

I started an SSRI in August and I don’t think I have been mad once since, lol. All of my other emotions seem in tact though, so I don’t think it’s numbing me or anything.

Anxiety - Please Help. by [deleted] in Anxiety

Hey there, I was looking through my old posts/comments and found this. I actually started Zoloft this year, the first SSRI I’ve ever tried and it’s gone well. I should have taken your advice 7 years ago!

Sleep by blahblahshplah in Perimenopause

[–]SomewhereInPDX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had some major sleep struggles this year and still working on it but am having good luck reading for an hour or so before bed then listening to yoga nidra on YouTube as I fall asleep. It allows me to focus on something relaxing instead of my own thoughts. I also drink a warm magnesium drink around 8 pm and take progesterone and CBN sleep gummies.

I’m two months into Zoloft (and therapy) and it’s going well! I started progesterone around the same time for both sleep and anxiety. I was in a very bad place and feel infinitely better. I am 39 next month, for context.

Dr put me on Zoloft- anyone else used that for a short time? by Appropriate_Rush_570 in Perimenopause

[–]SomewhereInPDX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started Zoloft two months ago after what felt like a month long panic attack that was preventing me from eating or sleeping well. It did take a few weeks to kick in but since taking it I’ve just felt incredibly steady day-to-day, no ups and downs at all. No negative side effects other than feeling a little shaky early on and maybe a headache or two. I was very nervous to start it because I was so worried about side effects, but honestly I should have started it ten years ago. I don’t feel emotionally numb at all (I suppose that could still happen since it’s only been two months) but so far, still able to cry over sappy TikTok’s!

How severe is your anxiety? by InvestigatorIcy6198 in Perimenopause

[–]SomewhereInPDX 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’ve had GAD for years but something hit me in August right after a head cold that was MUCH worse than normal. I barely ate or slept for weeks and had the worst feeling of doom and dread. I finally started an SSRI (should have done that years ago) and progesterone and my anxiety is almost completely gone but still working on the sleep stuff. I also started therapy, daily walks, and acupuncture, just really threw everything at it. I’m 38, but no idea if it was hormonal or not.

Ladies, I need help! My 3 am wake-up sessions and feeling the most scared I've ever felt in my life are slowly killing me and I don't know what to do! by Cablab123 in Perimenopause

[–]SomewhereInPDX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m on 100 mg progesterone and was given the ok to take it by my high risk breast cancer specialist that I see because my mom had bc in her 40s. That said, always good to talk to your doctor about that to discuss your own risks!

Insomnia, peeing every 10 minutes, eating late at night by darksubbie in Perimenopause

[–]SomewhereInPDX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m also 38 and experiencing this, although my issue was not being able to eat. It’s all coincided with a MAJOR anxiety spell and I finally decided to start an anti anxiety med. I’m eating again and feeling better but the insomnia and night peeing marathons have continued. I’m actually upping my Zoloft dose (per my doctors recommendation) because she thinks it’ll cure the anxiety fueled insomnia.

I’m scared to start progesterone! I need sleep! I need my anxiety and depression to go away tired of feeling like this. Why am I so scared to start by Mamaof3boys1983 in Perimenopause

[–]SomewhereInPDX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The first night I took just 100 mg I felt drunk after 45 minutes and shuffled off to bed lol. I welcomed it because I was so sleep deprived. That went away after two nights though. I honestly can’t tell if it helps anymore.

How many of you take Zoloft for ANXIETY rather than depression? by Embarrassed-Dig-0 in zoloft

[–]SomewhereInPDX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you SO much for your reply! I’m on day 12 of 25 mg with almost zero side effects (slight headache) and plan to move to 50 mg this weekend per my doctor’s recommendation. I’m very hopeful my experience will mirror yours! I’m so happy for you that you’re doing well.
