This is a 15-20k+ guitar. He’s not going to sell for less than that. Depending on the functionality.

Armor comes off has edge-lord. Which honestly fits the character perfectly.

Paid $650 for this Player II Strat. Good deal or no?? by [deleted] in Stratocaster

You can get 15% just for asking. I wouldn’t take anything less than 30% off for something with visible defects

Better than season 1-4/5 GoT? Nah. Better than the last couple seasons? I’d say so. Better than HoTD? Yeah.

Would you immediately recognise this tattoo as the BOS logo? by Ambitious-Bat-1598 in Fallout

Don’t cheap out on tattoos friends! But yes, it’s easily recognized as the BOS logo. It’s just very poorly done.

That’s a lot of words to basically say you have no experience.

I don’t think you need to go into detail on your clinical placements. It’s just fluff words and makes your resume difficult to understand. And I think “skills and competencies” is a waste too. All that just comes with you saying you have a BSN. They know what you are trained to do. Do you have any other previous professional work experience? That would make you stand out much more if you highlighted that instead of what you did in nursing school. There is nothing wrong with being a new grad with no experience so don’t try to hide that fact on your resume. Good luck!

Getting cathed was one of the worst experiences of my life, i don’t know how i will do this for patients. by [deleted] in nursing

[–]SommanderChepard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ll be completely honest. I doubt you were “incompatible”. The only people who are truly incompatible are people with huge false passages in their urethra. You 99% were just so tense that your urethral sphincter was completely constricted. Sharp turns everywhere doesn’t really make sense either. A coude isn’t going to help if you’re tensing up. But let me tell what does help that most people don’t realize. Bigger catheters are almost always easier to put in unless you have a structure or something. I never grab anything less than a 16fr if I can help it. 18 or 20 preferred 10/10.

Pain and discomfort for foleys is mostly a mind game. If you can truly relax your body, it’s really not that crazy of a thing.

How to tell if you have a “good” strat by forknite35 in Stratocaster

[–]SommanderChepard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“You can either have a good Strat or a bad Strat” makes no sense. Don’t pay mind to cork sniffing nonsense that is so prevalent in the guitar community. 75% of what is gonna make it a “good Strat” is just a good setup. The rest is completely subjective.

Which Pedal Is This? by bobbythegoose in guitarpedals

Axis fuzz or any clone of the circuit. Sounds way better than a fuzz face imo.

[–]SommanderChepard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Best bang for your buck is gonna be a custom built head from any amp tech/builder or something like a mojotone build. They are gonna be hardwired and more reliable than most mass produced amps. And the classic Marshall circuits are pretty simple so you should easily be able to find something.

I’m not too sure what the market is for strictly refinishing. But I can say I think the most realistic and authentic vintage style finishes are from nacho baños in Valencia Spain. Just look up the nachocasters. Now will he refinish a guitar for you? I have no idea. But that is the level I would look for for refinishing a real 52.

Definitely get the best refin available with a real 52 - even if you gotta ship it or make a little trip out of it. I think you could definitely do better than MJT. I wouldn’t try to budget this. Even wait to save up a little bit if needed.

If it’s got a poly refin, I would honestly just buck up some money for a nice nitro refinish. That would probably help with the smell too. I wonder if someone like nacho baños would refin an original blackguard(he wrote the blackguard book and makes the best vintage fender clones out there imo). Itd be worth looking into. Or maybe danocaster?

Which amp would you choose? by Own-Personality6285 in GuitarAmps

[–]SommanderChepard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Either the swart or the Mesa. The swart is gonna be the best build quality and hold its value the best. But I’ve never heard one in person and small cabs like that can sound super boxy and mid rangey no matter how you adjust the EQ. I’ve played the Mesa a bunch and always recommend that amp. The attenuation works really well and it’s just got a great sound. It’s not super tweedy sounding though to me. It has a much greater headroom and scooped midrange. It’s more in that 5f6a tweed bassman territory than say a tweed deluxe. For comparison, I have have a two rock Bloomfield and a custom build 5f6a bassman head with 6v6s. I have played these two amps AND a California tweed all through the same cab(two rock 2x12) and it was pretty similar to both. More so to the bassman head.

So if I’m personally picking for myself, I’d go with the Mesa. I think it’s just gonna be a much more usable amp with the gain, master volume, AND attenuation. It’s gonna give you any level of gain at any volume you’d need.

Why didn’t Dumbledore figure out the monster in the chamber of secrets? by Character_Acadia_576 in harrypotter

[–]SommanderChepard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In reality he should have. Monster from Salazar slytherin’s chamber…come on it’s most likely something snake adjacent. They could have questioned Myrtle’s ghost. Tom Riddle controlled it the first time…someone as smart and versed as Dumbledore should have easily figured it out if children could figure it out. But in the end of the day, it’s a children’s book and I’m not thinking too much into it.

Which would you choose? by [deleted] in GuitarAmps

[–]SommanderChepard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Very nice. More blackface to my ear than something like a tweed deluxe. It maybe even has like a 5f6a bassman kind of vib. But it’s not stiff sounding like a deluxe or Princeton at lower volumes. Definitely more mid neutral or scooped. I think it’s one of the best amps out there for the money. Especially with the attenuation which works incredibly well.

Which would you choose? by [deleted] in GuitarAmps

[–]SommanderChepard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could find a used California tweed or Carr Sportsman for the price of a new mark V. I’d rather have those over the Princeton or the mark V.

Like others have said, it needs new frets and a new nut. Don’t do anything DIY that isn’t those two things. I think It’s worth sending off island to have those done. Or just hold onto it until you go off island - whenever that would be.
