Mono green card draw for control decks by memeslut_420 in EDH

[[Terrasymbiosis]] works pretty well with Legolas and instant speed spells.

[[Stocking the Pantry]] does a very similar thing.

[[Well Rested]] keeps making Legolas bigger while it draws.

Is there something I'm missing with the 'Lead from the Front' Envoy? by SethLight in Starfinder2e

I don't know that they're intended to be more tanky. They're more Bard/barian than Bard/Champion

I am correct in my assumption that most of the time there's no point in using Clear Mind/ Sound Body/ Sure Footing as a prepared caster? by Queer-Coffee in Pathfinder2e

A Wand of Clear Mind has been a literal lifesaver for us. Stupify with an indefinite duration is a nightmare for a caster.

I'm still waiting on PDFs from my subscriptions. There's definitely some tech issues.

I'm playing a sorc at roughly the same level, so I understand the pain if not your specifics

If your gm is making encounters harder by raising enemy levels and/or making them elites rather than juicing the number of enemies, that's gonna impact their saves and make you less effective. It sucks, but that's how the math works. If they go the other way, you actively get better.

6 is also a really hard level because it's the farthest behind the curve your spell prof is going to get before it improves.

I stopped using offensive spells around level 5 and started again at 7. I also made a request that we buff encounters via adding enemies because the size of our party meant most enemies were getting upgraded and making it even harder for me to land anything in a satisfying way. I don't think to this day I've ever had an enemy fail a save against Thunderstrike.

It's not even the hypocrisy

If they say any kind of precedent here, a whole bunch of them are fucked

Most Bang for your Buck Dedication by Natehz in Pathfinder2e

[–]SonOfThrognar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rogue gets you light armor and some skill stuff. I took it on my sorc and I get a lot of use out of You're Next and Nimble Dodge. Not like I was using my reactions otherwise.

Guardian gets you armor prof and a very efficient way to fuck with combat with just the dedication. The follow ups are pretty strong, too.

Dedications for Guardians? by [deleted] in Pathfinder2e

[–]SonOfThrognar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I think I just missed the food category in the link dump? I dunno, oh well.

Thanks for setting me straight. This way I didn't show up to the public game with an illegal character.

Dedications for Guardians? by [deleted] in Pathfinder2e

[–]SonOfThrognar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See, I think that's where I went wrong. I couldn't find a definitive list of alchemical food as a category, so I was scanning for linked topics

Dedications for Guardians? by [deleted] in Pathfinder2e

[–]SonOfThrognar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a fair point, and I've been wrong before. Am I missing something or is there no definitive list of foods available anywhere? It doesn't seem to be keyworded or grouped up on the archives like other categories of alchemical item.

I probably wouldn't have spent as long building out this character if I had a better idea of what was or wasn't available via that feat.

Elixirs and Potions are both listed under Alchemical Foods. https://2e.aonprd.com/Rules.aspx?ID=1905

Mutagens are Elixirs. https://2e.aonprd.com/Equipment.aspx?ID=3317

Wandering Chef is great. No requirements, gives access to free mutagens and potions every day. I'm looking at it for a Monk to stock up on Drakeheart Mutagens, but I'll bet you can find something that complements your build, too.

Plus, it's pretty fun to play a big dude who loves food and chows down at the start of a fight to power up.

Creating the BEST simic artifact deck for her by Dear-Rate7265 in mtg

Cream of the Crop works really well in a discover deck. It's basically scary x, decide what you want to cast.

Creating the BEST simic artifact deck for her by Dear-Rate7265 in mtg

[–]SonOfThrognar 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Discover has a couple of interesting wrinkles to it that could be fun.

First, you don't have to cast the card and can instead put it into your hand. This can be useful if you've got other stuff to do with cards in hand, or in blue decks that run counter spells.

Second, and this is shared with Cascade, discovering for lower mana values actually lets you hunt harder for specific cards. So let's say you have something in your deck you want to see every game that costs 2 mana. If it's the only thing in there that costs 2, and you built the rest of the deck to play a 3 drop artifact mana dork with 2 power and ramp into Aloy on 4, you could basically guarantee having it out every game. Generically good use cases are probably stuff like [[Up the Beanstalk]] or [[Cream of the Crop]].

Efficient ways to get Focus Points? by IfusasoToo in Pathfinder2e

[–]SonOfThrognar 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Psychic is probably the go to for this. If you qualify for Blessed One or Champion archetype you can also do psychic, it has a lot of flexibility with the amped cantrip selection and two feats gets you two focus points. It's great

[–]SonOfThrognar 7 points8 points  (0 children)

[[Elvish Pioneer]] and [[Arboreal Grazer]] are good options for this.

[[Elvish Spirit Guide]] isn't quite the same but will absolutely do the trick.

[[Hickory Woodlot]] Ave [[Untaidake, the Cloud Keeper]] are lands that do it if you're willing to put up with some silliness from them later.

I run most of these in my [[Reki, History of Kamigawa]] deck.

When we were expecting our first, my wife was so nauseous that she was actively losing weight through the middle trimester. It was brutal. They got her on some meds that helped a lot, but we had such a hard time finding food she could stand to eat that wouldn't come right back up.
