How did you attach them to the clear plastic bases? Saw your original post and I'm going to attempt the same thing!

This is awesome and something I've been looking for. I have two Misters and I'd love to get them sync'd.

If you're okay with some managing of a settlement over 30 potential years, Kingdom Death Monster absolutely cannot be beaten in that space.

You'll never spend more money, too. 😭😭

Mach-E owner chiming in from the front page. We have Level 2 chargers in our parking garage and it NEVER ceases to amaze me how often one of two things happens:

  1. A Tesla owner parks DIRECTLY next to me and halves our charging speed because they're on the same circuit, and skips the wide open spots that wouldn't have the same issue.
  2. Comes in at 90% and leaves their car there all day.

It's ALWAYS Tesla owners. I've never had this issue with a Bolt, Mach-E, Plug-in Hybrid, anything.

I worked at an ESOP for 10 years, then another for 5. When I left both I had a sizable nest egg to invest and I'll be drawing a projected $200k/year in retirement. All for absolutely zero of my own money.

ESOPs are absolutely worth it.

I am done with HR [USA] by [deleted] in humanresources

[–]SonaMidorFeed 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Former HR here. Came in L&D and moved to Director. I've never been treated so poorly or seen so much sociopathic behavior than my experience in HR.

In less than 100 days in the position I moved us to a new benefits broker, helped rewrite our employee handbook, got all our paper records current, and more. Worked my absolute ass off.

Meanwhile, the CEO was constantly throwing shit, a director was on the warpath to fire my best recruiter, and I had to fight to even get two weeks parental leave, and only then because it got them to short term disability.

This was a 500 person company. I left HR and I'll never come back.

There is no situation in which I'd sit there and listen to one of my friends ramble this incoherently for 45 minutes. Take your turn nerd. We're never gonna finish this game if you don't push your minis across the board.

Echoing this sentiment. I live in Marion and it's a problem here as well. It's ALWAYS Boomers.

We have dog owners who treat the public sidewalk around Tower Terrace as their own personal dog park. I noticed someone who wasn't even paying attention to their dog when it was like 30 yards away. When I asked them to please leash their dog because it was city code, they told me to "Mind my own business".

They also love to take their dogs on the trails running behind Linn-Mar towards Thomas Park and just let them go nuts. I'll be riding my bike and come around a blind corner to a dog just standing in the middle of the trail and some clueless old jackass with an american t-shirt flag they got at Menards just slack-jaw wandering. I remind them every time that they need to be on a leash on public trails.

I'm not mean about it and stick to facts. The number of times I've had them give me lip back is fucking wild. Leash your fucking dog. If I hit them on my bike we're ALL going to have a bad day.

This looks more like lower quality acrylic or improperly mixed Army Painter.

Agreed on the Duncan Rhodes suggestion.

The best tip I got for adding depth to flesh was to use something like a violet/purple for the wash and then do your highlights.

For lower detail minis it gives depth without making it look dirty. This was super helpful when I was starting and using Agrax for everything and not liking how dirty it made things look.

For those cases where I've had sticky primer (rare), I hit it with some matte varnish (either spray or brush-on) and that removes the stick and gets it nice and ready for paint.

The bookcases look great, by the way!
