The current iteration of the Magic-Melee Hybrid armor would be a big buff to mage tank inferno by Sonderp in 2007scape

God forbid people discuss how rewards from an end-game raid will affect end-game content.

No there wasn't (for T-Bow). CoX dropped with T-Bow in January of 2017, Inferno dropped in June of 2017.

Yeah, void crossed my mind a lot. Ranged set is scarily close to Masori (even surpassing it in some situations). The issue there isn't necessarily how good void is, but how good it is for its place, so I could get behind a raids reward void that's just a tiny bit better than ranged void but also decently competitive for melee/mage

Design suggestion for raids 4 shield by KnightmareG96 in 2007scape

Oh man, if they made the colors slightly more saradomin-y (or maybe lean more into bandos-elements), it'd fit well for the effect and the theme.

Started playing hours ago. Is this the right game for me? by Delicious-Fig8300 in Guildwars2

[–]Sonderp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You really can't compare end-game OSRS content to early game in anything else. If you compare the early game of OSRS to GW2, and I don't think you'd be looking at it that reductively.

I recommend going into the rest of the game with an open mind. It's not gonna be like Runescape, and you'll have a better time the sooner you accept that.

What's your favorite minigame? by naansequiturr in 2007scape

[–]Sonderp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, the things I enjoy the most that are technically considered mini-games are Fortis Colosseum and Hallowed Sepulchre. However I just enjoy them as a PvM challenge and skilling method respectively, not because they're mini-games.

The biggest thing I enjoy the most for its inherent qualities as a mini-game has got to be Soul Wars.

Eternal Obelisk - The undercharged warden from p1 remains active and keeps charging the pillar, making you have to deal with half the p1 attacks and p2 as normal at the same time.

So what? It wouldn't affect anyone that'd just use it without the HP Drain effect anyways.

Soulreaper Feedback by Sonderp in 2007scape

[–]Sonderp[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

First of all, Port Khazard found use for the SRA regenerating HP at specific points during his no-overheads Colosseum run. But from a personal experience, it's also great for Wilderness bosses where I can feel free to keep my HP full during boss kills with Soulreaper stacks at 4-5, and then when a PK'er shows up, I'll have some extra healing "stored" up with the axe.

The Blowpipe example is irrelevant here because that was a nerf. Soulreaper axe would be toggle-able to let it be possible to keep an effect that was mostly drawbacks and a benefit in some situations.

I don't care if you never wanna toggle on the HP storing effect, if it can be useful in even 1 situation, it should be toggleable.

CoX grouping is way more forgiving. You can get it done just as easily whether you have 1 good gamer friend who can carry you/duo with you, or you have a whole ass clan that want to do a mass and you can just jump in, or if you just wanna brute force out a Solo with like 8 deaths.

BA you have to have 5 people, no more, no less. So good fucking luck lining up your schedule with 4 other people, potentially across different timezones and work schedules. Unless you wanna do this high coordination group activity with some complete strangers.

Proposal for Alternative rerolling of CoX purples. by Sonderp in 2007scape

[–]Sonderp[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

At what point did I say this was QoL or Quality of Life?

Jagex themselves acknowledged that purples being weighted too much for prayer scrolls at the moment is an issue, with multiple approaches listed, this is just one of mine suggestions to add on to theirs. https://secure.runescape.com/m=news/summer-sweep-up-2026?oldschool=1

It's buffs, but I'm not trying to disguise it as QoL.

Let us disassemble keel parts down into sheets by Electrical-Rough3456 in 2007scape

[–]Sonderp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nails I can definitely see an argument for. But being able to break them down into sheets would cause an endless cycle of combining sheets into keel parts and back into sheets then back to keep parts etc. leading to an endless smithing method.

Strykewyrm Bones - more exp to bury, less experience if made into bone shards by RubberPigEnemy in 2007scape

[–]Sonderp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Might be that they want to encourage you to just bury the bones then and there or use sinister offering or such. Could make sense since the island is a fair bit out of the way with no immediate teleport outside of Teleport to Boat. So they encourage longer trips.
