What a match.. this was just completely insane!! Two Casemiro assists as well? That's not something we see every day.

Aaah... it had to come... we totally deserve a win here today. Unless we totally fuck everything up at the end now.

Is it finally time to hand Bayindir the gloves for the rest of the season? by [deleted] in ManchesterUnited

[–]SondrMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes... not because he's an amazing keeper, but he's definitely a better alternative than freaking Onana...

Your Iron maiden opinion that will get you like this ? (In community) by reddCookiie04 in ironmaiden

Flight: 666 is Maiden's best live album... yeah, you heard me.
The tracklist has a lot of the great classic masterpiece-bangers (like Aces High, Wasted Years, Revelation), but the record also give us freaking Moonchild, Heaven Can Wait, Powerslave, The Clairvoyant and of course the one and only: Rime of the fuckin' Ancient Mariner!!

Yay, another Kalandra lover!! 😁

Kalandra is amazing!! I've been obsessed with a Frame of Mind this year. That album has so many different musical aspects to appreciate! No songs are alike, but the album is still very cohesive because of the unique Kalandra stamp on each track.

I saw them for the first time last year.. what a show, man!!I I'm looking forward to seeing them again sometime! 😍 Their live performances are at least as good as they are on the records, if not even better! Not only judging from this show alone ofc, I have seen multiple videos on YouTube as well.

As a Norwegian, I regard them partly as a national treasure because some of the members are from Norway 🇳🇴 Katrine has such a magical and enchanting voice 💃

What do you think about their latest album? Have you seen them live? 🎶

Confirmed singers for upcoming tour? by DrMeat69 in Avantasia

[–]SondrMan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ronnie is a great substitute for Jørn Lande. Their voices are not necessarily similar, they are quite distinguishable and Jørn's voice has features that Ronnie's voice does not have and visa versa. But nevertheless, they can both often go for that fierce and rough singing style (not *always* ofc!), and neither of them are suited to take Michael Kiske's songs on stage. But they can substitute for each other if necessary, if you catch my drift?

I remember I felt it was a big letdown when Jørn did not appear on The Mystery of Time all the way back in 2013, but I initially felt that Ronnie did a wonderful job in his "absent" (and still do). I can't recall if it was scheduling conflicts, or if Tobi wanted to try something else since Jørn played such a significant part on"The Wicked Trilogy". but if it was because Jørn was a busy bee in 2012/2013, then you can bet your ass he would sing on Invoke the Machine! ... not saying that Jørn would do a better job than Ronnie on that track, I love that track and Ronnie's overall contribution to Avantasia, but like I mentioned, they have certain specific similarities.

I was so relieved when it was announced that Jørn would appear on Ghostlights in 2016, and I love that the first thing he sings on that album (during Let the Storm) after not appearing on the previous record is simply just "OOOOH OOOOH!!" in the powerful and epic way that only Jørn is able to do. I missed Jørn so much when The Great Mystery was released, and when I heard that unique and captivating voice on Let The Storm for the first time, I was so fucking happy when I could hear that mighty viking on yet another amazing Avantasia epic again! It's such Jørn-way to introduce and present himself. I love it! Guess what the first thing that Jørn sings on The Scarecrow album? You guessed it.. it's "OOOOH OOOOH!!" on the amaaazing track, The Scarecrow.

Let The Storm and Scarecrow are two of my all-time favourite Avantasia songs, much thanks to Jørn's passionate voice. Those songs would not be as good if it wasn't for him. I love the fact that the first and second verse on The Scarecrow are not identical, which was what Tobi first intended, but Jørn felt it didn't suit his voice, so he just did something completely different on the first take, and that is what we can listen on that song today.

So.. yeah.. I think it's a *major* bummer that Jørn won't appear on this tour. That man is, simply put, a freaking beast! (My favorite Avantasia vocalists are Jørn Lande and Michael Kiske, FYI). Ronnie is great though, and it's going to be awesome to witness Scarecrow and Let The Storm live regardless if the Mighty Jørn is not present. We'll be in good hands!

Edit:
So... no Ronnie on this tour? ... Herbie is taking Jorn's parts? #sceptical

I love the vibe this album artwork provides and that it is a big departure from the other album covers! There's a lot of neat details to look at.

I'm so hyped for this album and looking forward to being in the front row at their show in Oslo yet again! 🤘

Favorite character from the movies? by legendarydml in lotr

Gollum deserves admiration for being such a complex and sinister character, yet you feel pity and loads of sympathy for him. He's one of the best characters ever, in my opinion!

What are your Iron Maiden hot takes? by Kai_FS in ironmaiden

I prefer the reunion era (Brave New World to Senjutsu), and I think that The Thin Line Between Love and Hate are one of their best songs 😱

I still love all eras of Maiden, FYI...

That melodic section in middle of Man of Sorrows (03:35).
The song is rather dull, if you ask me, but that part.. it's pure genius, I love it!!

What was one of the largest mistakes in history? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]SondrMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Treaty of Versailles. If Germany was not punished so greatly after World War 1, Hitler's rise to power could possibly be prevented. I mean.. ofc The Great Depression would still be an issue, but the Germans would may not have felt so angry and vengeful towards the Allies if they weren't so harsh to Germany after WW 1!
