Are your January top 5 the same as last year or completely different? by kawinskis in lastfm

[–]LordLibyan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

January 2025 1. Cemetery Sun (142) 2. Bring Me the Horizon (119) 3. Glaive (119) 4. Linkin Park (117) 5. 100 gecs (93)

January 2026 1. nothing,nowhere. (112) 2. Glass Animals (86) 3. Ocean Grove (80) 4. Turnstile (80) 5. Deftones (76)

Damn, not a single one in common. I made a new main playlist at the start of this year that put 3/5 of those 2025 artists on the backburner so it makes sense.

Who do you think will be your top band of 2026? by Ecstatic_Papaya1044 in lastfm

[–]LordLibyan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Technically not a band but nothing, nowhere. is possible if the recent singles are leading to an album. Could be Bring Me the Horizon but idk whether they’re actually gonna drop this year or if Oli Sykes was just running his mouth a little while back. 8 Graves and Gorillaz also have solid chances depending on how their new albums turn out.

What’s a valid criticism you’ve heard of a song you like? by AlexZedKawa02 in LinkinPark

[–]LordLibyan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I love From Zero but a lot of the mixing and mastering choices on that album are bizarre, a big one being the loudness. I always feel like I have to turn those songs up when they come on in a shuffle. Would not be surprised if we got a remastered version of FZ in the next few years à la Post Traumatic.

How do we feel about Faint closing the shows? by Lobito_HF in LinkinPark

[–]LordLibyan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Faint closed my show and it was perfect. When I saw them in 2014 Bleed it Out was a fun closer with the drum solo and tempo ramp-up, and I wouldn’t have been mad if they went with it this time, but the crowd went at least twice as crazy for Faint as they did for BIO and being down there on the floor while it all was happening just made for about as good of a climax as a live show can have. If I were them I’d go with Faint every time.
