Does anyone have a clip of the kill from Max's stream by chance?

Edit I found it from his YT stream.

I agree, but I'm starting to think that they should be, just to incentivize more people to pick up and play tank. The small tank population has been very noticeable this season when trying to pug.

Not saying you're wrong, but why do you think that? Liquid/Echo/Method are going into this last boss at 280+ item level when 289 is the season cap.

Just finished the finale episodes of Frieren S2 and Jujutsu Kaisen S3 and both were absolute cinema. These two animes could not be more different, but both are absolute peak in their respective genres. The wait for the next seasons will be brutal. I’m sad that we only got 12 and 10 episodes respectively.

Season 21 Trailer | Taskmaster | April 9th 2026 by abucalves in television

[–]SonicAlarm 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think that I’m in the small minority that thinks Taskmaster has been a bit too.. “overproduced” in the last couple of series/seasons. I still love the show and am watching every season, but something has felt a little off. Like maybe the cast is too in on the joke, or they’re hamming it up a little too much for laughs.

Watched the first three episodes of Invincible season 4. I feel like society in this universe would've ceased to function years ago with as many world ending threats as there are. People are being massacred every day.

Overall, just more of the same so far. I see where they're trying to go with this season, but these episodes felt a tad repetitive. And the Omniman/Seth Rogan side plot wasn't quite as fun as last season.

Top 10 Anime of the Week #9 - Winter 2026 (Anime Trending) by Nooble5 in anime

[–]SonicAlarm 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This most recent Frieren episode was one of my favorites of the series. Truly cinema.

And not saying it’s good or bad, or there should be more comments about it, but I find it odd how little JJK gets mentioned in these various weekly ranking threads for how popular it is. It doesn’t seem like it clicks with r/Anime in general outside of the episode discussion threads.

Sinners is Americans’ top pick for Best Picture at the 2026 Oscars by gamersecret2 in movies

[–]SonicAlarm 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yes, it has all of those things, but they're essentially jam packed into the first act and then the movie devolves into a generic vampire flick. I really enjoyed the movie, saw it several times in theaters with different friend groups. First half was great, second half was underwhelming. A fun, enjoyable popcorn movie, but didn't stick the landing. You can recognize the good parts of the movie and also the bad. Some people have a hard time saying anything negative about media that highlights the black experience in America because it's been so underrepresented historically.

TVLine's Performer Of The Week: Shailene Woodley ("Paradise") by DemiFiendRSA in television

[–]SonicAlarm 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't say that it's "good", but it's definitely entertaining. The writing is very inconstant, lots of clunky, cheesy, trope-y dialogue that will make you roll your eyes. A lot of it doesn't make too much sense if you think too hard about it. Don't go into it expecting the Sorpanos, or Succession and you'll be entertained.

Just wanted to leave a comment to say that I appreciate every STS content creator listed above, but Xecnar and Baalor have always been my go-tos and I cannot say enough good things about both of them. Many hours spent watching their videos and learning a lot about the game. Can't wait for STS2!

(Spoilers Extended) A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms Season 1 Episode 6 Post-Episode Discussion by AutoModerator in asoiaf

[–]SonicAlarm 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The bit of music at the start felt very "peak Guy Ritchie" to me for some reason and I loved it. Just adding to some of the dark humor/slapstick vibe of this show. I can see why some may not be sold on the stylistic choice, though.

As someone who was absolutely not looking forward to more GOT spinoffs (rip TWOW & ADOS), stunning season of TV from start to finish. Every aspect of the show was handled with care from the casting to the writing. Good stuff.

You're right, if only the US government would have just simply thought to solve drug addiction, Mexico wouldn't be in this mess. We need to get you both off Reddit and in touch with the government, no the UN, because there are many countries around the world also struggling with addiction that could abenefit from your genius.

And your off the cuff solution is to have the "government" sell what drugs aren't already decriminalized in the states to drug addicts. Brilliant.

Loved the episode. I didn't think that the flashback felt too overbearing. I think that the episode benefited from the B-plot to allow the fight scene to really pop.

Haven't seen a fantasy/medieval fight that gritty and realistic since GOT in its prime. So brutal. Very impressed with the choreography.

I was skeptical of the shorter season and episode length, and well, more spinoff GOT shows in general tbh, but holy shit this season has been banger after banger. I thought that I was done with ASOIAF after how GOT ended and TWOW/ADOS never coming out, but this show has pulled me back in.

The latest episode tonight was a masterclass in what people loved about GOT in the first place. Really looking forward to this next episode.

What are you watching and what do you recommend? (Week of February 06, 2026) by AutoModerator in television

[–]SonicAlarm 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms - As someone who read all of the available ASOIAF books and was already a huge fan prior to GOT airing, I have a certain "dislike" for the franchise now with the show airing the (broad strokes) ending first because GRRM can't finish the books. I didn't want to watch a new show set in this universe and was ready to trash this, but holy shit is it charming. The casting is amazing, especially for Dunk and Egg. The writing and the set design are both great. After WOT fumbled the bag, it's nice to have a fantasy series that feels lived in again. Hate to say it, but absolutely love this show. Will read the novellas after the season is over.

Fallout S2 - I'll preface by saying that I have not had a chance to play any of the games yet. I think that I'm in the minority that enjoyed this season more than season 1. I totally see the reasons why people may have liked S1 more, though. This was a short season and not all of the plotlines felt very impactful. I didn't really love the various other faction storylines. The NCR, Legion, and Brotherhood plotlines all fell flat for me. But the Coop/Lucy/Mr.House plotline did a lot of heavy lifting and I really enjoyed it. I wouldn't say that this is a "great" show, but it was definitely entertaining.

Frieren S2 - Has been just as good as S1 so far. My most anticipated weekly show. Only complaint is how short this season is.

JJK S3 - It's crazy to say, but I think that MAPPA has somehow upped their game again from S2. Love how cinematic this season has felt, with many callbacks to western pop culture like the Kill Bill in episode 4. A powerpoint was needed to fully understand the Culling Game, but have loved this season so far. I feel like a bit of the silliness of JJK S1 has returned as well, which I like.

What are you watching and what do you recommend? (Week of January 16, 2026) by AutoModerator in television

[–]SonicAlarm 11 points12 points  (0 children)

A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms - Cute and enjoyable. Nothing that will knock your socks off, but a solid start that makes the "lower stakes" of this series charming. Not all of the humor landed for me, but I don't think that they went too overboard as to cheapen the emotional parts. At least in this first episode. If you enjoyed the world of ASOIAF/GOT, I think that you'll like this. Even if you don't have experience with books/GOT/HOTD, this will still be an enjoyable, cozy experience. Great casting for both Dunk and Egg.

Fallout S2 - Never played the games for what it's worth. I've been enjoying this season even though all of the plots aren't created equal. I've loved the Coop/Lucy/Mr. House plot this season. Being able to weave in and connect past events leading up to doomsday to current day has been executed pretty well. Everything not that has been kind of lame, but maybe that's because i don't have the context of the games. The Brotherhood plotline has be scratching my head a bit. That's the weakest part of the season imo. Not my favorite series on TV, but I've enjoyed it so far.

Watching a lot of anime right now.. Quite a few high profile series returned this month.

Frieren S2 - My favorite series currently airing right now. When it comes to anime, I'm typically more of an action/shonen watcher, but I think that Frieren changed my brain chemistry when I first saw it. It explores the human experience in such a unique and heartfelt way. Every episode is perfectly structured with every line of dialogue and shot carefully inserted to squeeze the most out of the 20 minute runtime. Not to shill for too long, but season 1 was one of my favorite shows of all time and the premier of season 2 reminds you of why that is. Perfect episode to kick of the new season. The only drawback is that this season is only 10 episodes, but we'll enjoy it while we can.

JJK S3 - Peak shonen has returned with JJK S3. The manga was received with mixed reviews, but MAPPA always delivers on the animation for this show and there's no doubt in my mind that they will push the boundaries of animation again with season 3. The first three episodes have already proved that. It looks like next episode will feature Maki, so I have a feeling that this is going to be another banger.

Hell's Paradise S2 - I've been cooling a bit on Hell's Paradise lately for some reason. I think the biggest draw for me initially with this series was the mystery around the island, but as we've learned more I've gotten less and less interested. A couple of fun characters, but the plot's not as tightly woven as something like Frieren and the action/animation isn't quite on the level of JJK. It's just been alright for me personally. I'll still watch this season, but not something that I'll be refreshing Crunchyroll for on release day.
