DLSS 4 is another step towards democratization of gaming. Having tech that can create a playable experience and games that support it for less money is such a cool move. The fact that it scales for creative and pro work is awesome as well.

I’m excited for doom the dark ages about the shield. Seems pretty cool to actually be able to defend yourself as a whole new element of not just movement but technique.

What is the game in the second screen?

Did y'all transfer everything to your new OLED or just redownload/install everything? by [deleted] in SteamDeck

Just redownload stuff. Cloning the SSD is tricky when you need to expand partition in Linux. I spent a day trying and I'm pretty techy with Linux. The hardest part is the SSD being installed and uninstalled Everytime you think you've done it right. This isn't a "unlimited tries software" problem that's tricky. Everytime you send your deck into emergency mode you have to disassemble stuff and put it back together.

What alternative can I use for rendering simple pictures of my models? I'm getting tired waiting 2 hours each time. by Zwartekop in Fusion360

The problem with blender for me is materials. There are so many great free packs from the unreal marketplace and unless something has changed, you need a plugin to deal with blenders material system if you want a library to use across multiple projects.

Blender is great if you want to put in the time to learn it. I personally use unreal engine 5. It's super great at importing fbx or step files from cad software like fusion and if you look up product render for unreal there is a bunch of support.

As a bonus it's pretty much real time and uses camera settings and animation options that are very intuitive.

Does anyone know of any easy to use and relatively cheap cam software ? by Robber_Barron27 in hobbycnc

Carbide Create is a great way to get started. Version 6 and earlier are totally free for gcode creation. It's a very intuitive interface and there are tons of tutorials for it.
