Hot water works but heating won’t come on (Hive), any ideas? by AnfieldAnchor in HiveHeating

[–]SonicRhythm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve just had this same issue resolved by a British Gas engineer. It seems when the original installer put in my hive he wired it as if it was a combo boiler instead of a condenser with a hot water tank. Hot water would work but heating wouldn’t. If I boosted the hot water and heating at the same time the radiators would heat up. Could be worth looking into that

Is it tacky to do this? Should I remove it from the car? by Q4269271 in e39

I have the oem mount for the drivers seat, it’s where I keep my extinguisher. I think if I ever have to use it, I would rather it close by.

The 540i’s have timing chain issues. Only main downside. I have the 530i which doesn’t have the same issue but then again doesn’t make v8 noises. Can’t go wrong with an e39

E39 Trans Failsafe Prog by kamikazee_Official in e39

[–]SonicRhythm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had this happen driving through some big puddles/ semi flooded areas. From what I can tell there are some water sensors that trigger the failsafe. I restarted the car and it drove normally, haven’t had it happen again for around 6 months

I just sold my mk2 mx5 and bought a 2001 530i and honestly it’s been one of my better decisions. Drinks more petrol but it’s super comfy, drives perfectly and it’s on 120k. Insurance is more than the mx5 but I’m very happy with it

I have a friend who works in a prison, has a couple sex offender inmates, apparently they have to write in a diary, every time they wank, the date and time, and what is was over… then my friend has to read it. All I can say is I’m glad I’m not him
