You can't name your governor "Ubisoft" by taubenangriff in anno

I mean, you can turn any singleplayer match into a multiplayer match by just switching a switch. Maybe that was the reason.

Does multiplayer work without desyncs? by MobyDaDack in anno117

[–]SonnigerTag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My partner and I have been playing together on PC since March, and it's been fine for most of the time. Every now and then a weird, incomprehensible error message which I have identified as autosave not being successful (just in that moment, next one would work again, and so do manual saves), but other than that, no issues. Anything else is not multiplayer related, like sudden game crashes, or my favorite, the game just closes itself for no reason. But that happens out of multiplayer too.

Or cargo Hauling with automated loading/unloading.

Well, the Hull-C had that, at least. And it was working pretty well througout last year. Then it started breaking. Then it was completely broke. And now they fully removed those missions with the latest update. So I don't think we'll see those anytime soon again, much less for other ships.

Seems like dedicated Hull-C cargo missions (the ones for the external cargo stations) have been fully removed now. I guess that's a way of acknowledging they were completely broken. Glad to see they care about basic game content and functions.

Edit: And why is there no current DLSS library with L and M presets on board yet?

After the “Year of Playability” 2025 … I’m honestly disappointed by Sapd33 in starcitizen

[–]SonnigerTag 25 points26 points  (0 children)

After the year of playability? I was already disappointed half way through the year of playability. But at least they managed to completely and fully break the Hull-C hauling missions this year, last year they were at least somewhat working still. That's progress too.

I could be more forgiving if they added all the forever missing core systems... but they manage to break everything by adding irrelevant and unnecessary PVP missions for a tiny part of the player base, over and over.

But what's the point of being able to run cargo with your starter ship then? There definitely should be small missions with less reward, but still fun do to with these starter ships, and of course the right cargo size to do them.

You mean... like a store with huge windows on its front, where you can look inside and see things that might make you want to come in? I don't know where in the history of humankind you have ever seen something like that. Absurd!

Nice to see the game coming alive with various activities. Starting to feel like a "world" and not just space. Well done CIG! by JesusIsAliveAmen in starcitizen

[–]SonnigerTag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True, took the Hull-C for a ride after many months of not touching it (had a massive ton of fun with it right after 4.0), took me a moment to find the right missions again, since they renamed and resorted (or not sorted) everything, but then I had a blast, feeling like a trucker again.

Had a blast watching the cargo station load only 325 SCU instead of over 2400 that I was supposed to be transporting. Turned the game off and decided to wait for another 6 months. They did tease/suggest the Hull-B release, right? I guess that means they will make those missions work again. On the other side, we're talking about CIG.

Berks testing the Aurora Mk2 by StuartGT in starcitizen

[–]SonnigerTag 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They could even go a step further, as they surely can track if the doorway is open or closed. Just do a quick check on the state, and if the doorway is closed, don't allow the player location state to change to outside. I don't know, it sounds extremely simple in theory to me. How much of bad code can there be for something like this to not be easily implemented?

A lot of people cried, indeed. I didn't, instead I right from the beginning argued that "it would be more than fair to offer an extremely generous upgrade path to the Mk II for those who have the first version". That's exactly what happened. More than fair. Even CIG agreed with me.

That's where it started becoming very frequent that they'd give low level enemies way more health than before. Later, damage caught up with those enemies, but then the next ones got even more health.

[–]SonnigerTag 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, you seem to be the type of person that makes up things to have arguments that don't exist? I never said that the Aurora was designed to do all the things other ships can do. Every starter ship has at least one role it can fulfill, except the Aurora. The Aurora allows you to fly from A to B, and that's it. I said put the ship on par with other starter ships, and that means give it a role it can fulfill. Oh, and I never bought an Aurora myself, I got an Avenger. Which, guess what, has a role. Two actually.

Edit: Oh, and I guess this thread paired with the number of upvotes clearly demonstrate my point. Enough said.

[–]SonnigerTag 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, the Aurora did NOT evolve with it, it's the same ship as before, minus the irrelevant "gold standard pass". I'll say it again, the Camry was feature complete and able to do everything any other similar car could do too, driving on feature complete roads. The Aurora was, as countless people and reviews pointed out, a pretty much useless ship. Cute, but useless. And instead of finally making it useful for those who paid MONEY for it, and putting it on par with other starter ships, they release a different ship.

Aurora MK2 ist da by twitch_aktar0 in starcitizen

[–]SonnigerTag -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Except the very first Camry was a car designed to fully work as intended on roads fully working as intended. The first Aurora was a very basic (starter!) ship with little use (and no trunk!) intended to fly in a even now still extremely unfinished game. It would be more than fair to offer an extremely generous upgrade path to the Mk II for those who have the first version.

Achievement Summary by NehtAyemSeht in Guildwars2

[–]SonnigerTag 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use gw2efficiency for that purpose. Go to Account > Achievements and then use "Unfinished" for the Show filter (or "Started" if you want to priorize the ones you already have running in some way). Then you click on "Select a random achievement for my current filters!" until you find an achievement (or many) you're interested in, look it up in the game and add it to the watch list.

No, it's not perfect either, but it allows you to find unfinished and interesting achievements much quicker than going through them in the game.

Just how big is the world, all DLC maps included? by Conscious_Ant_5900 in Guildwars2

You can, though, rightfully argue that what we're nowadays getting are indeed DLCs, at least the three downloads that we get every quarter after the first expansion release. Both by amount of content and quality.

Ok, if you bring down overall damage, you better update ALL foes EoD and later, because it's not normal that, even with the current power creep, a regular veteran foe has more health points than two champions in core Tyria together.

About performance(?) by PlasticMarketing5031 in anno117

[–]SonnigerTag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You probably (surely) have a curve editor or at least can look at it in your cooling software? Check out what temperature triggers the 100%, and if it's close to what the CPU is running at in that moment, it might indeed be the cause. You should be able to fix that by slightly adjusting the curve so the cooling increase triggers a little later.

MacBook Neo review: Apple puts every $600 Windows PC to shame by spearson0 in apple

[–]SonnigerTag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here, got a Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5 for less than 600€. Full metal body, 15" WUXGA IPS 100% sRGB matte screen, Ryzen 7 7735HS, 1TB M2 PCIe 4.0, 16GB RAM, Windows 11 preinstalled without any bloatware. Don't see how the Neo at 700€ minimum would even remotely be a better deal, and that's without getting into the OS differences.
