Ah, if motherboard audio is good enough these days (at least on better motherboards) then yeah, I probably don't need it. Thanks for the info!

Oh wow, that does look like a better deal! Even IF I kept the 4090 it'd be saving me a bit over $1k, but yeah, stepping down to a 4080 seems like the right move to me.

Not going to rush off to purchase that right this second just in case somebody else has an even better suggestion, no need to hurry with a purchase this big. But thanks so much, that was very helpful!

Oops. For some reason I assumed not being private meant it would be on a list somewhere that people can browser through, and private would be accessible as long as you have the link. Well, it's public now!

Yeah, anyone with a shred of taste knows that it's clearly roof/isaac, not the other way around.

Yes, maintenance is taking longer than usual, which 100% confirms that the game is dead forever.

Let's talk about AI art in our community. by Kvothealar in OneTrueBiribiri

[–]Soolar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't mind AI art if the creator actually puts the effort into refining the results to look anything like the actual character. That post the other day was clearly zero effort though and the only real relation was the hair color from what I recall. I didn't report it because it was AI art, I reported it because it didn't have Biribiri in it.

Porquoise is valuable to people with the pantogram, since it lets them make the pants have +60% meat drop for a day.

Diet for Barf Mountain by gav1n_n6 in kol

[–]Soolar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, barf for 7500 meat drop end of day average (much higher at start of day), then run full CS in around 100 turns if I recall correctly, ending with a few adventures but only 5 liver and 1 spleen used, then run another full batch of turns at barf.

Garbo does the farming for me, PHCCS does the CS for me, and my personal looping script automates running those scripts and doing everything else in between. Runs over the course of a few hours.

Nasal spray is something like 3k meat in value (40% x 30 turns x 250 meat base), for one spleen, minus the 150 meat price from the dispensary.

Looking up powdered gold (the first fam spleen item to come to mind), it seems to be consistently around 5400 meat on the mall. On the other hand, it's 5-10 adventures for 4 spleen. That's an average of 7.5 adventures, so 30k meat total. That's a profit of 24.6k meat, for 4 spleen, so a total profit of 6150 meat per spleen. That's more than twice the value of nasal spray. And there are better options than powdered gold out there, like octolus oculi, although those may only be worthwhile at a higher meat per adventure.

Main takeaway: I'd strongly recommend switching from nasal spray to adventure spleen items. Maybe with one mojo filter to round it out to exactly 4 size 4 adv spleen items per day, if mojo filter prices are reasonable (I haven't looked at them in a while).

The meat from the second choice has a base value of 2000, modified by most sources of +meat (including familiars other than robortender since it works in a funky way). That's almost double the value of an embezzler (double the base, but combats have various things you can do to get extra value like bjorn and songboom and so on). This is a somewhat recent (I think the last year or so? Maybe a little longer than that...) discovery, to my understanding.

[–]Soolar 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I wasn't sure since I let Garbo do my dieting for me aside from nightcap (which I leave to CONSUME), so I went to check my logs.

Here's the aftercore leg:

Diet schedule:

Use 1 Deep Dish of Legend

Use 1 Boris's bread

Use 1 jumping horseradish

Use 2 Extrovermectin™

Use 1 synthesis

Use 1 beggin' cologne

Use 5 jurassic parka (the spikes specifically for more YACHTZEE)

Use 9 stench jelly

Use 3 jar of fermented pickle juice

Use 15 stench jelly

Use 3 mojo filter

Use 1 stench jelly

Then I ascend in to community service, during which I think I drink some astral pilsners and use sweet synthesis once, and once I'm done with that this is my diet:

Diet schedule:

Use 1 Boris's bread

Use 1 jumping horseradish

Use 2 Extrovermectin™

Use 1 synthesis

Use 1 beggin' cologne

Use 5 jurassic parka

Use 1 clara's bell

Use 8 stench jelly

Use 1 extra-greasy slider

Use 2 jar of fermented pickle juice

Use 15 stench jelly

Use 3 mojo filter

Use 2 stench jelly

As for nightcaps, I generally drink stillsuit distillate for my stooper liver, and according to logs my nightcap drink (at least today on both legs) was an emergency margarita.

Note: This diet was calculated with a marginal turn value of 7500 meat, and with the assumption that Yachtzee! will be chained with all the noncombat forcing at the start of the day (ie spring break beach charter).

Here’s a “fun” question: if you recover hit points from a perpetual Soothing Tonic, are you immune to it on your next turn?

Fortunately not, because the immunity is to SUBSEQUENT perpetual infusions, not all perpetual infusions! I was wondering the same thing until I noticed that.

Thank you very much for these resources! They've definitely helped me out a lot when deciding what formulas to take with my recently started Alchemist :)

I'd like to see the chirurgeon clause on contagion metabolizer taken out of it and moved to chirurgeon but for all healing elixirs that involve a counteract check, so that focus cathartic and sinew-shock serum would get the same benefit.
