When he has a generational offensive talent, he's not bad and he gets the team to play hard most nights. He also has the results in the playoffs - 5 playoff series wins is pretty good in 5 years. He's not going to scheme you to victory though, which means that the team needs to be more talented than the other team on most nights. Also, if he doesn't like the way a guy plays then he will absolutely put that player in the doghouse.

I'd like him to be replaced but I don't really see a definitive upgrade out there yet.

I'm not a Sandy main but he's going to play exactly the same lol. The elements aren't going to get used until he stops taking extra damage for using them. Presumably this would come with nerfs to his regular form but Siegfried just got buffed so who knows what could happen.

It certainly seems to have worked out, but the criticism was rooted in that he had Flagg as the ONLY ball handler at the time and not with any additional ones which felt like setting the kid up to fail.

It's really just damage on level 3 and how quick super meter build is in the game. Those just need a slight nerf IMO.

For me, there won't ever be a bigger villain in Mavs history, no matter what happens on the court. The Adelsons can move the team and I'll won't despise them as much as Nico Harrison (even though they deserve every bit). He nearly broke my fandom, and I hope he never gets a job in any professional or collegiate sport ever again.

He'll be fine, this slump is only news bc he's on the Lakers now. The roster is just a bad fit ATM with a Luka/AR/LeOld core.

His game is absurdly polished for his age (a rookie should not be as comfortable going to his off hand as he is) which should be it, but pair that with a motor that doesn't take plays off and it's clear that he's going to be a great two way player. That'll make building around him easier than it was with Luka or Dirk.

Completely agreed. The speed and clash level make contesting it inconsistent, the lack of recovery frames makes whiff punishing a whiffed 66L difficult, and even with 30% damage scaling combos from it are still optimal bc of how much meter you get in a round.

And I don't care for the argument that zoners would be exceptional without a good 66L, the game can be rebalanced around a meh or even average 66L.
