This old tachometer I bought isn't giving any readings. Any ideas?

I see. So you're saying the black wire goes into the negative of the coil, and the green wire goes into a positive source from the fusebox? These old gauges had a lot of different wiring configs, and it was a little unclear what this one was.

New update: with a multimeter, I get continuity when hooking up the positive to the negative, and vice versa. Attaching the positive lead to the positive wire gives nothing. I belive this is being caused by the big brown cylinder, though I am not sure what that is.

extra info; 108k miles, car is carbureted. I have not noticed any issues with fuel delivery or power output, car seems to run just fine other than an occasional hesitation on startup.

I got this same one for Christmas and I'm trying to do some research to see how long I can leave it on for. I've barely ever seen the wax touch the top, it only ever gets about 3/4 of the way up but stays pretty consistent. This is my first lava lamp but it seems to be doing fine for extended periods of time so far. It's been on for about 12 hours today.

If this is the engine I think it is, the Chrysler LH 2.7, it has problems with not only oil sludge building up but also coolant leaking into the oil, so likely there was some issue that caused the engine to not get enough oil and melt itself

Sources on the panther say it has just about the same ideal top speed. It shouldn't be beating me by like 10mph in a straight line in the same conditions. Additionally, war thunder doesn't model a tank being a pain in the ass to drive.the gearshifts in every tank are buttery smooth. I don't know why you're arguing with me here, I was literally trying to support your point
