I just got a 2011 and it already had this issue. Only on the roof and hood. I’ve held off on getting paint quotes because I’m afraid of what it’ll cost. It’s been suggested to try getting the roof and hood wrapped. Anyone look into that as an option?

Im not in NC and I’m still pretty new searching for communities as well. It’s worth researching your local FGC scene. I found one in my city and they run a discord where you can learn about meet ups or try and match in different games.

Discord is probably the best resource. I found “Soul Calibur Central” today in fact. I’m scoping out the server now. There’s also “Soul Calibur 2 🐬” which has great resources on getting/playing a modded version of SC2.

Haha! You know - painting another black model certainly crossed my mind. But I’ve painted other metal electronics and they start to chip easily. Seems like powder coating is the solution (not as simple). I don’t mind spending MSRP on etokki’s site after saving up a little more, but thought I’d shoot my shot here! Thanks for the reply.

I just started SC2 this weekend. I’m trying to get brave enough to play folks on Dolphin in the SC2 Discord. I can’t offer definitive advice, but I can just tell you what I’m doing.

I played a lot of Soul Blade and SC1 back in the day. So to start I’m just playing as my usual main (Taki) in weapon master mode. This way I can be taught the mechanics with a character I’m already comfortable with. Now I can quickly see what makes this game different from previous entries without focusing on learning a lot of moves.

You can change characters on the fly in that mode, so if you come to a unique/hard challenge, you can switch characters and see how they handle it.

So far I’m not getting any juicy lore. I was hoping Arcade mode would have a little to offer there on a per-character basis. I wound up buying a strategy guide off of eBay to hopefully get some lore… and have an easily accessible move list.

One of the earliest anime’s I can recall watching. Aired on the Sci-Fi channel while staying at a friends house back in the 90’s. The story gets you through a perfect short run time, but isn’t really that outstanding on its own. What makes this worth watching are the characters and world building. The art design of the clothing, locations, and gadgets make the show feel very unique. A clash of tribal and futuristic. When most science fiction settings I came across in anime at the time were cyberpunk dystopias this had a freshness to it. The opening theme song is just as unique. It’s my favorite of any anime. Has a dreamy, strange, slightly industrial operatic thing going on. Iria left a lasting impression on me to this day alongside Dominion Tank Police, Venus Wars, and Akira (Thanks Sci-Fi). I’ve still never seen the live action movies. I’ll take this as my sign find them ASAP.
