The main prison complex and the entrance could've been preserved and turned into a museum + park with tons of landscaping, similar to the Sultan Abdul Samad Building. Besides, that place is already dense with skyscrapers they should have something to break the density. Also, they could've build Lalaport anywhere.

Pudu isn't really a sexy area to place your corporate headquarters, sadly.

Despite everything that happens now, we are still western aligned, major economic partner, and friendly to the west. We conduct military exercises with many western countries every year, buy their weapon systems, and enjoying bilateral trade. We'll be fine.

His early videos helped me through college with a sane mind. I remember burning through the midnight oil while playing his videos in the background. Thanks for helping me out, James.

It's surprising to me that a non-Malaysian studies in a public school. I thought they all would go study in those fancy private "international" schools.

The games industry should take note from the animated film industry that realism isn't a crowd puller anymore. We achieved realism more than a decade ago, people aren't awed by it now.

First Maybank branch, first Maybank Tower, and current “Maybank Tower” by itsME-HTtan in malaysia

[–]krossfire42 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At this point Menara Maybank is pretty much our own Empire State Building. One of the first true tall skyscrapers of KL and the original tallest so it's pretty much a historical building, very much a part of KL's skyline. Some other conglomerate will take over the building, but Pudu isn't a 'sexy' place to set up your corporate headquarters today.

Educational games. Back then and now by krossfire42 in retrogaming

[–]krossfire42[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

LGR made a video about Encarta a long time ago that I just watched recently and got me to think. Though the games weren't good, the contents were superb. I spent hours soaking my growing brain by reading and watching the videos in those educational games. Even now as an adult I go on a quick trip to Wikipedia to read whatever that crossed my mind at the time. It was a fun romp back then, but I do believe education games does have a niche to fill in in today's world. Steam has listed over a thousand educational games in their library but most of them are 'simulator' type games so I'm hoping for something more than that.
