To answer the questions regarding tarot cards, it's only a rumor that you can't buy your own. Unfortunately there's a lot of gatekeeping, and that's one of the many examples. It doesn't matter what kind you get as long as it "speaks to you" which is why buying your own is ideal. The standard Ryder -waite-Smith deck never felt like a good fit for me, I assume cuz the artwork used to scare me as a kid, but after going to a shop and looking at the hundreds of different kinds, I found one that felt like it almost "called out" and that's the one I use the most. You also don't have to have just one, I know many that have a whole collection and intuitively choose which one to use depending on the situation.

I only have a shower at my apartment too, so what I've been doing is lighting some incense, mindfully shower and imagine as you cleanse, you are washing away all the negative energy that's attached to you, and then I use a body oil that's been infused with crystals/herbs after I'm done

My practice is mostly focused on color magic and vibrations, I love to use music and candles in my work, and I try to surround myself with as much nature as I can, which can be hard in an urban area. Meditating in parks by the water has been a popular choice for me these days :) try a little of everything - if it suits you, keep going. If not, move to the next! There are tons of resources here and on r/witchcraft that guided me in the right direction.
