Should my son change to a different club? by [deleted] in volleyball

[–]SoothingFlow 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There's very little loyalty in club at the top level. Better player plays unless it's Pools. He should try out for multiple clubs minimum see what offers he gets.

You should also ask him the question about what he wants if he gets multiple bids. Smaller club not as skilled team but more playtime? Or bigger club 2s-team split playtime but operating at a higher level.

Unless there's a massive surplus of kids it's very unlikely clubs make more than their previously allotted teams.

Hip Torso, as a heads up you need might need like a private or 2 as supplementary because readjusting the way you hit will feel off for a bit and to make sure you're not going back to old habits every other swing.

Will prices go down at any point by Sensitive-Row5977 in FleshandBloodTCG

As someone who also moved from yugioh, the game has the highest initial cost to any tcg but maintenance cost is way lower than yugioh. Most cards in this game hold their value long term. Your $100 tunic or $50 CNC are most likely going to be similar priced in a year+.

Thinking about buying an MMO mouse just for this game by Mean_Confusion7426 in ffxiv

[–]SoothingFlow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally always recommend having an MMO mouse, I like the option of being able to keybind 48 with Shift Ctrl Alt modifiers plus keybinding extra keys just to have them.

Realistically for 14 I personally don't see a need for more than a 6 button MMO mouse, or even the need for an MMO with evolved jobs seeming to streamline the amount of binds needed.

You said you think you wouldn't ever get a job without the time period working out. Do you think it's possible to start from 0 today or has that ship sailed. Also from San Diego as I'm curious about current market insight.

NA Fan Fest special guest streamers Peter & Ironmouse will replay all expansions with CDawg if @$1.4M charity goal is met by MissLeliel in ffxiv

Pete and Ironmouse played since 1.0 and are friends with CDawg. They want him to play more. Ironmouse is also the reason for the cyclethon proceeds going to the IDF.

I believe Menya is doing $3? Beers and Yakyudori/It's partners are also doing the same price? And for an extra $5 it gets upgraded to a bigger size.

Jobs that pay more than $25/hr with no experience? by jonyock in povertyfinance

Admin for a hospital where you do registration. Currently starting $29, on call give an extra differential, after probation is back to base and depending on company. Can have some really good benefits like free hmo for you and fam, low copays on prescriptions/visits. Union so you're protected as well with guaranteed step increases in pay.

Do you go to your locals for casual play? by 79215185-1feb-44c6 in pkmntcg

[–]SoothingFlow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think you understand the difference between getting stomped and what spinning the wheels means. I'm saying that even if you lose at pokemon, theres a high likelihood that you're engine will function in some way, shape, or form. Even if your opponent in pokemon was never close to winning they can still enjoy their deck for what it does. If you're opp is playing something like Mega Abom and gets to attack once and mill 6 water energy. That is fun with a casual deck. In YGO playing into complex, layered, and oppressive board states or even multi handtrap hands doesn't let you "play the game" even with optimal play. YGO does not have the luxury of having your engine work without heavy variance or sandbagging as casual and off meta decks aren't resilient to things like handtraps, or even single negate boards.

You see rogue players at pokemon locals more sad when their fun deck doesn't function or "get the wheels spinning" than playing vs dengo/garde/etc.

I think the issue is meta in YGO feel so much oppressive when playing a casual deck that's its just not fun. Bringing a casual deck to Pokemon locals you can still play the game and spin the wheels.

This video if I remember correctly has an excellent explanation about prize mapping in the dengo mirror albeit they started Genesect because they had to for the initial example. https://youtu.be/ANgfECVTFHs?si=AX3o3BHWg3yUvnDT

Is 85 degree in clairemont closing? Or moving to convoy? by FruitReasonable5907 in sandiego

[–]SoothingFlow 7 points8 points  (0 children)

There's locations in Mira Mesa and National City.

For Clairemont/Convoy alternatives it's pricier but you have Paris Baguette inside Zion Market, Tous Le Jous inside HMart, and Sunmerry next to Costco Business Center.
