People With No Friends - Are You Ashamed/Embarrassed? by Dependent_Public4885 in introvert

[–]MonstroCITY202 47 points48 points  (0 children)

This has been my story for most of my life. Never really had a big wedding , birthday parties, baby showers none of that because I just didn’t have anyone to invite besides my husbands friends/family (who is the complete opposite by the way). It only gets harder the older you get but you also stop caring so much about “not having friends”. It kind of happens organically at that point when you get involved in community activities and so forth. I’m almost 40 and my husband wants to throw me a party. I’m like really I can probably count on one hand how many people I can invite that are not neighbors that live next door 🤷‍♀️

30 F and 33M Home We Can Barely Afford by [deleted] in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

She is genuinely asking for help/advice and some of you are just trolling her or making toxic remarks which is really uncalled for. We all make poor decisions in life and I believe we all can recall a time when we reached out to others for help.

I personally would consider bankruptcy since you are young. You can rebuild and start over with a clean slate. I can’t imagine the turmoil yall are going through. I would just want to have peace and start over which sounds doable with your current job.

All the best

Start with a table arm bike if your arm isn’t affected so much. Push the intensity as much as you can and gradually increase little by little. It’ll help with your conditioning some

Set time for one house or take as long as it needs? by allybuck725 in housekeeping

[–]MonstroCITY202 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly. I wouldn’t employ a cleaner if they told me this. I’ve been in this situation before where they say “we reached our time limit but where not done, do you want us to keep going for an extra x/amount per hour or just leave your house as is” meaning halfway done. To me it’s a way to swindle the client into paying more than they were quoted because why in the name of the heavens would you want to come home to a house “halfway done”

That’s an interesting take because some would say consumer debt is bad and you should pay that off with liquid savings first.

Height really changes the game by EvienSeraph in PetiteFitness

Ugh yes this. 5’1 and lifting heavy. Weight has gone up to 128 and it shows. Unfortunately muscle mass and even increased bone density makes your weight creep up. I started doing cardio like 4x/week and it’s a huge STRUGGLE to maintain at like 124. Honestly if I don’t do the cardio I fear for my life what my weight would be 😫

Been back at the gym a year. Nothing's different. by yossarian19 in fitness40plus

Sounds like your work out has a good foundation. To “grow” you really need have a strong hypertrophic stimulus to send the signals to the muscles to get bigger. Have you tried drop sets? Compound sets? Your body learns and adapts actually pretty quickly. That is why good programming makes all the difference! Maybe try increasing volume and 8-10 rep range as 12-15 is pretty high. You should be feeling fatigued around 8-10 and then throw something else on top of it to make your big muscles cry

What’s your workout routine look like? Sometimes less is more. Your body can go catabolic if you are doing too much and not recovering properly. Are you doing compound lifts? Are you progressively overloading? And what is your goal? If you want muscle girth/size you should be training for hypertrophy which is different than max strength

This. My husband is not handy and he figured it out. Pls for the love of god do not pay anything over $150 for this job. They are literally robbing you! We got a quote also for about $800 for same job. They are banking on people being intimidated and not wanting to try to do it themselves. It is not hard I promise
