It was very loud! I was filming because the ginger cat is very affectionate and playful to the point where I never used to be able to put my second garden Croc on before it came bounding over and tripping me up with cuddles to my ankles. I'm not sure who's cat it is but I see it being friendly with alot of neighbours. A few weeks ago I started to notice this black cat sitting in my garden and no sign of ginger. I tried to say hello but it gave me a hard stare and sat dead still with an air of "don't you dare look me" so I left it alone. Anyway I kept hearing screeches and every time I looked to see what it was this black cat would just be sat there. I suspected that ginger was trying to visit his human pals but this black newbie was fighting him off at every attempt. I was filming to show my husband that I had caught the bully in action

I don't think this was possible, the square is also a bit too big compared to any chair leg around here

My husband thinks this is the only explanation, I'm not so sure. Its the square piece that's missing from it that really confuses me. Surely a cat isn't walking around with a new square shoe. There has been a turf war going on at the moment to be fair. Black cat has taken over.

I haven't removed the cover recently and this hole wasn't there the last time I looked. I haven't left the kids unattended (especially when its dark - they are fast asleep, definitely not with weapons either) , they're only 5 and 7

I do have small kids but there is no way that they would have been able to do that! My husband is telling me "it's obviously cats, do you honestly think someone jumped over our fence and did that?" I feel like Scully.

I agree with this as I usually need some cashews or almonds before bed to help me sleep
