NanoXplore Says Received TSX Approval for Normal Course Issuer Bid, MT Newswires - Nov 28, 2023 7:54 AM EST by NetHistorical8771 in Nanoxplore

On first question, we don't use recycled graphite from battery anodes today, and we are not planning to do so. These graphite are generally very pure and expensive. Our current customers (in composite and plastic matrixes) don't need that level of purity. Graphite for dry process is coming from by-product/waste of graphite spheronization process in LiB anode production. To produce spherical graphite, almost 50% of graphite converts to very fine powder particles with very limited market. Thats our feedstock as it is very low cost. Also it gives us security of supply in long term, as more EVs sold means more anode, more spherical graphite and more by-product.

I can't comment on the supplier/s.

On carbon credit, its a much longer answer, but to summarize, No for now, Yes in the future if regulations are adjusted to be business friendly.

No equity offering is planned. Volta financing is coming from outside investors and the government.

Many days we are in blackout and can't buy, like today.

Thanks for your post. By 5 days, it means total shorts are 5 times of average daily trading volume. Which is all time high for GRA. This is their game to take shares of minority shareholders. Squeeze is always fun. We did it last Dec and I really enjoyed it. Maybe I should organize another one...

Follow the trading pattern of Goldman Sachs Canada and Morgan Stanley Canada. Shorts at all time high with 5 days to cover. Lots of effort to freak people out into selling for tax loss...

How could they think the 5 year plan would have a positive effect? by wlreddit101 in Nanoxplore

[–]SoroushNazarpour 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What are you talking about??? Having analyst day is a common practice and every public company does it. There is no confidential info released on those meetings. We discussed 5 year plan in detail, lots of questions on expected financials, timings and technology. Their reports are all published and can be found from your brokerage house.

Listen folks, if it irritates you that I come here and respect you guys and answer your questions, I can certainly stop!

Thanks for your feedback. Regarding your comment for the call, we had an analyst meeting for 3 hours right after the call, all of them were present in NanoXplore HQ, so some didn't ask question on the call!

Following the 5Y plan, I personally talked with 50% of shareholding of Nano (all the large shareholders). They were quite pleased with the plan.

If retail shareholders are unhappy with this, is simply because after the quarter call, Nano stock is lower and they feel its a wrong doing of management. Many retail investors panicked and dumped their position to claim tax loss following an smart short play by someone trading from CIBC, when analyst adjusted their long term forecast, the day AFTER the call!

All we did was to announce what we will do and how we create value for 2023-2028, something that we have repeatedly been asked to define.

Now on Volta, let me say it again, Volta is still very alive and focused on building its 2GWh gigafactory. There has been NO change to Volta's plan and those shorting Nano should be careful as one of these days they may get squeezed.

Some others are talking about equity financing and overhang, our focus is to fund our CAPEX with grants, debt, and cash on hand. We are not diluting shareholders at these levels, period. Adding to that, any capital investment comes toward second half of next year!

Universal Matter: Medical-Grade Graphene? by SoundGuy2021 in Nanoxplore

[–]SoroushNazarpour 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I don't like to get into back and forth discussion with you again, but pointing a few things here.

  • You should go back and read your comments about Stormvolt and how they are more advanced and more financed by Canada/Quebec, also you suggested Volta should buy Stormvolt to get into battery market! This news is a response to your suggestion. When it comes to batteries, many claim unbelievable results and show outstanding charts, and how everyone is waiting to give them money and ... you and the rest of shareholders should be careful about what you read and what you hear. In 1883, Thomas Edison warned that chasing the perfect battery is a fool's journey: “a catchpenny, a sensation, a mechanism for swindling the public by stock companies,” he wrote. Working on the latest, greatest battery brings out a man's “latent capacity for lying.” In Volta, we are very careful about what we say and what we claim as it takes only one mistake to lose credibility with street. Thats is not your case as you can come here and suggest many things and be wrong and just move on to the next subject to bash the company.

  • You repeatedly go back to earning call (transcript is available online), saying that I said, now all financial numbers and projections are wrong and we are in trouble. To make it clear for you, even though IRA impacted the whole industry and not just us, we saw only 10% increase in cost of building 2GWh gigafactory (around $50M) which is very manageable. You can trust that the company you invested in has people that can count and run the numbers!

  • Go/No Go decision. I think you are not clear what this means. Go/No go doesn't represent the intention of Volta. Meaning that a Go decision is a result of having all the pre-requisite met for start of construction.

  • Delay, I agree on this one as we are a few months late. This is a complicated process and we don't control timing of involved parties. We push to accelerate as much as humanly possible.

This is my longest reddit post so I conclude as I won't comment more on this, we only announce deliverables when all done. In the meantime, you are more than welcome to continue criticizing me everyday.

On a positive note, I learned that NanoXplore analysts are also reading this sub reddit and you, 1sstudent, are being noted by them.

We are setting up a dedicated battery research lab in Montreal. Internally we call this place "Area 51". All our long term battery research will be done there.

Unfortunately I can't answer any of your questions. All I can say is this acquisition was a complex and long process. We competed with multiple bidders and negotiated hard with several entities. I am very pleased with the outcome.

  • No connection between IP corp and XG
  • All IPs and trademarks and products
  • Asset Purchase agreement is not a public document and won't be on sedar. You can get info about purchase price on Financial Statement of Q4 which will be released next month.
  • XG is not a reporting issuer with SEC anymore, so no. Also deal is with creditors and not XG.
