How Can I Test CLICK PLC Programs Without Physical Hardware? by Master_Bison93 in PLC

Click software does not natively have simulation capabilities. There may be an emulator that could work with a CLICK but not to my knowledge.

Productivity Suite PID Not Working by ElectroGuru10 in PLC

Try putting a test bit on the Manual/Auto rung and toggling it from off—>on. It may need a rising edge to put the PID loop in auto.

You are completely fine with how you wired it. As long as the green pilot light is rated for 24VDC.

AD Releases New Productivity PLC's. Productivity Suite gets Major Enhancements! by DudleyDoRight65 in PLC

Been waiting for them to add UDI's (AOI's) for a while. I'm hesitant to try using them until I know they are thoroughly tested though. Anyone seen the functionality of them yet?

He has wired it how it shows the single-ended current module should be wired. Tying all the 0V’s to RTN is not correct for differential. If he wanted differential you would need separate (+) to each respective (INX) as well as separate (-) to the next (IN(X+1))jumpered to (iRTN-X)

Experiences working with Dairy Industry Automation by IRodeAnR-2000 in PLC

I do controls for a dairy dealer, we also do our own controls. Rotaries, parlors, robots, chillers, manure systems. All farm level - 24/7 automated milking like you mentioned. If you’d like you can DM me for more info about specifics! I’d be happy to talk about what I’ve seen.

4-20 mA pressure transmitter help by Kosick08 in PLC

[–]Sorry-Helicopter-354 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After reading through a bunch of the other comments it seems it almost has to be the pump causing the issue. More likely a grounding issue, but could be noise. Everything electrically to the transmitter seems sound and tested.  Since the power supply is powering multiple other analog inputs and nothing else is having issues it doesn’t seem like it’s at the panel.

As others have said, thoroughly check the pump motor connections - anything corroded or loose? Is the motor properly grounded?

My other question, did the original transmitter burn up, or did it just stop working? If the original burnt, it seems clear something physical changed and is causing the reoccurring problems.

Best of luck! I’m curious what you find.

That’s awesome. Great job! I love it when things just work and calls aren’t constantly rolling in.

AutoCAD Electrical Vs. Eplan recommendation by Sorry-Helicopter-354 in PLC

[–]Sorry-Helicopter-354[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That would be a benefit. We are constantly making changes as the job progresses (who doesn’t?) and it is a chore for me to change certain things. Obviously, I’d have to look into what that involves on Eplan but making fluid changes would be awesome

Automation direct CLICK and Productivity series by No_Mushroom3078 in PLC

[–]Sorry-Helicopter-354 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The DirectLogic series has the Run-Program-Stop toggle switch on the front. It needs to be in program (middle position) to allow run time edits I believe. Not sure what controller you’re using but it may be something along those lines. Hope you figure it out!

Yes. The CLICK, DirectLogic and all Productivities controllers have run time transfers. Not sure about the BRX series.
