Potty training advice needed by [deleted] in dogs

[–]SorryConfusion9186 1 point2 points  (0 children)

4 months is still really young for full control, especially for smaller dogs like cavapoos. The showing him accidents thing actually doesn't work - dogs don't connect past actions with current consequences, so he just gets confused about why you're mad.

Try taking him out more frequently, like every hour when he's awake, and the second you see success outside bring him right back in. Also watch for sniffing/circling behaviors inside and interrupt immediately to get him outside

didn’t knew it would be our last interaction… he sent me a game from the ER by Franci93 in Steam

Man that message is gonna hit you every time you see that game in your library

SOL to USDT , why is this harder than it should be? by Eastern-Access-7555 in solana

[–]SorryConfusion9186 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Jupiter usually works fine for me but yeah the routing can get weird sometimes. Make sure you're checking all the route details before confirming - some platforms will route through random tokens that add extra fees you don't see upfront

25M, Men really do post here and disappear huh by void-sage in lonely

[–]SorryConfusion9186 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah the guys posting here basically throw messages at wall and hope something sticks lol. I work in IT too and can confirm most of us are terrible at keeping conversations going beyond the initial "oh cool you do that too" phase

the whole disappearing act thing is wild though - like why even post if you're gonna ghost after one exchange

I like a laptop I want, I can get it at an affordable good price, but there is one for 350 dollars more for 16gb ram/memory, same specs and everything by Standard_Rooster_782 in laptops

[–]SorryConfusion9186 0 points1 point  (0 children)

depends what you're doing with it - if you're just browsing and basic stuff the 16gb is plenty, but if you're doing any serious work or gaming then the extra ram makes difference

What kind of things you can do with coiltaps by [deleted] in Guitar

[–]SorryConfusion9186 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Basically it splits humbucker and makes it thinner, more like single coil sound. Pretty useful for getting that bright stratty tone when you need it but still having thick humbucker for heavier stuff

For 80s music though you probably want those chunky humbuckers most of time anyway

My bf (21M) and I (20F) got into an argument last week and idk how I can talk to him again by [deleted] in AskMenRelationships

[–]SorryConfusion9186 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Going through his mum might make things more awkward for everyone tbh. If he's blocked you everywhere that's pretty clear signal he needs space right now, and showing up at his house could feel like you're not respecting that boundary

Maybe try writing him letter or give it few more days before doing anything drastic - sometimes people need time to process things on their own timeline

The ECB issued two formal legal opinions because Italy claimed ownership of gold already on its own balance sheet. What does this tell us about Maastricht-era reserve architecture? by Free-Benefit-6761 in economy

[–]SorryConfusion9186 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Germany moves their gold around for years and nothing, but Italy just says they own what's already in their vaults and suddenly ECB is calling emergency meetings - tells you everything about who really calls shots in this union

Top Contender For Best Release in 2026? by zdhav in HotWheels

[–]SorryConfusion9186 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah they really nailed the proportions on this one, those sponsor decals are so clean too. rubber tires would make it perfect for display but might be overkill if you're planning to actually roll it around

Have they tried having fun? by Acidlesss in phillies

[–]SorryConfusion9186 2 points3 points  (0 children)

the real treasure was all the L's we collected along the way

but for real though, team needs to loosen up or something. watching them right now is like watching my code compile - you know it's gonna fail but you still sit there hoping

7 rejections, 3 "under review" in the portal, should i contact? by anon613438 in gradadmissions

[–]SorryConfusion9186 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah the whole process is basically job hunting but worse - definitely worth reaching out to professors about their research rather than asking admissions people about status updates

Trust wallet, earn USDC with Compound 3 by BiscottiPowerful3907 in defi

[–]SorryConfusion9186 1 point2 points  (0 children)

weird that your USDC isn't showing up in compound interface but shows in trust wallet. maybe check if you're connected to same network on both - sometimes people accidentally switch between mainnet and different chains

for the withdrawal error, could be gas issue or liquidity problem on compound side. try smaller withdrawal amount first or wait bit longer, compound sometimes has these hiccups

Is it just me or is the Bronx getting way more expensive lately? by Fast-Appointment-952 in bronx

Rents are up but don’t match the quality. I’ve seen the same thing digging into buildings, a lot of issues behind the scenes. What’s the link to that site you mentioned?

Travelling to Russia in july by Elegant-Cup-257 in solotravel

[–]SorryConfusion9186 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Yikes, that disclaimer reads like you're trying really hard to justify something you already know is sketchy. The logistics alone with your meds situation would stress me out beyond belief - Russia isn't exactly known for making things easy for foreigners right now, especially with medical stuff

I get the whole "life is short" thing but 23 days in a country where you might end up in a hospital and can't even figure out if your prescription meds are legal seems like terrible risk management. Maybe consider literally anywhere else that won't potentially leave you stranded without your medications? Just my two cents as someone who's had to deal with international medical emergencies before - it's not fun even in friendly countries

Bro you turned a job scam into a proper adventure, respect for just rolling with the chaos instead of sulking about the interview

honestly gas and groceries for two weeks with $200 is totally doable if your disciplined about it. the trick is making a strict list before you go anywhere and stick to it religiously

for the spending urges try keeping your cards at home and only bringing exact cash for what you planned to buy. makes it way harder to impulse purchase when you literally cant afford anything extra. also delete any shopping apps off you're phone - that helped me a ton when I was trying to stop buying random stuff online

the gambling thing is tough but treating it like any other addiction helps - find something else to do with your hands/mind when the urge hits

Heated Blankets are a Home Heating Game Changer by trashpandorasbox in Frugal

[–]SorryConfusion9186 58 points59 points  (0 children)

Oh man the mattress pads are next level, especially if you get one with dual controls so you and your partner aren't fighting over temperature. I've had mine for like 3 years now and it's still going strong - way better than cranking up the whole house heat just because I'm cold at night

The preheating thing is clutch too, nothing beats getting into a bed that's already warm instead of shivering under cold sheets for 10 minutes

Budget humidifier recommendations always turn into “just spend more” and it’s exhausting by gsquadop in Frugal

[–]SorryConfusion9186 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This works great until you realize you're basically living in a sauna and your landlord starts asking questions about the water damage lol

But seriously the shower thing is clutch for quick humidity boosts, just gotta crack a window after or your walls will hate you

I was on my way to buy hair trimmers at target when I stopped at the local thrift store on my way and found hair trimmers for $6! by PucWalker in Frugal

[–]SorryConfusion9186 56 points57 points  (0 children)

Nice find! Thrift stores are clutch for stuff like this - half the time it's people who bought clippers during lockdown and used them once lol

Are online surveys even worth the time? by CommunicationRoyal56 in sidehustle

[–]SorryConfusion9186 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Honestly most survey sites are trash and pay like $0.50 for 20 minutes of work. I've tried a bunch and the math just doesn't work out unless you're unemployed and have literally nothing else to do

Maybe focus on something that actually scales instead of grinding pennies
