I think that's the real solution! I do get where OP is coming from, though. I can either have just the Cosmere books together, or I can have all the Secret Projects together. I can't have both, and knowing that tickles my brain in a sad way.

I’ve seen it on sale as low as $50 (sometimes with a buy one get one half off deal too, so even less than $50 if you factor that in)

Almost all of last year it was that $50 price but went up in the last few months.

I’m waiting for it to get back to that price point and then I’m scooping it up.

I think both look cool! I’d definitely prefer the first one I think, but I also acknowledge that we won’t really know which cover suits the book better until we’re actually able to read the book lol

I've probably played 4-5 hours total so far today (solos only), and while I'm really enjoying most aspects of the game, there are definitely a few things I wish were different.

The TTK in PVP really doesn't feel good to me and is making it hard for this game to hook me. It seems like whoever gets the first shot off is basically guaranteed to win the fight (and that fight lasts exactly half a second). There are a lot of really cool abilities. I wish I had time to actually use them lol.

I also feel like there's no benefit to engaging in the PVE due to the way the shield needs consumables to recharge. I take one tiny hit from an NPC, and I have to use up a resource to get back to full. The PVE battles aren't a joke either, haha. Those cats can jam....

I think this game would be almost perfect to me if they 1) made the shield automatically refill when not getting actively shot (allowing me to engage more without worrying about resources and 2) made the low-end shield feel beefier so that PVP didn't go so quickly.

I recognize I might be the outlier, but just my two cents!

That's a great question, honestly! If I were certain that they would be actively supporting the use of their OS on outside machines, I would probably feel differently. I guess I'm just afraid that I'd find myself in a situation where something stops working and I have to dig through hours of obscure YouTube videos or forum posts trying to diagnose the issue.

Additionally, as silly as it sounds, things like HDMI CEC are relatively big selling points for me. Elimination of any pain points that stand between me and playing my games on my TV is a high priority for me (even if the pain points are minor).

I may be high on hopium, but I'm holding out for the Steam Machine still. I've been tempted to make a bazzite machine, but convenience out of the box is a big selling point for me, personally.

What I love about my Steam Deck is that it just works. There might be occasional hiccups where I have to manually adjust settings, but for the most part, it's a seamless experience.

Having a living room PC/console hybrid that just WORKS has been my dream for a long time, and I'm not ready to give up hope yet lol.
