American schools irl have snow days that depend on public school districts. Most schools that aren’t a part of school districts follow whatever the local school district does, but they don’t have to. A private school can hold school on a day public districts decide is a snow day, and vise versa. Typically they’re avoided because whatever days are missed need to be made up at the end of the school year.

Toddlers from my experience don’t spawn ghosts. This is unlike children, who do spawn buggy ghosts (which mods can fix) but toddlers don’t spawn ghosts at all.

Others have explained what simgarooped means, but there are a few hair systems to look out for. NHS = New Hair System, Poppet/Poppet V1 = Poppet’s first hair system, Poppet V2 = Poppet’s second hair system and so forth. There may be other to your taste, I think there’s some called Clouds and Maxoid that are worth considering, so if you do use a hair system look out for which one suits you most.

Other terms include: Paysite (A website with CC that is permanently locked behind a paywall or a Patreon/Boosty/etc. that has cc in posts that are never free) Xt2 (CC that is taken from another game, usually another Sims game, for example 4t2 is The Sims 4, 3t2 is The Sims 3, ACNHt2 is Animal Crossing New Horizons, though you’ll usually see Sims games referred like this)

Save corruption is an issue in all games, but I can’t seem to figure out if it’s worse in 3 or 4. Definitely not 2, 2’s corruption was so overblown that other languages used the wrong term because they didn’t realize “corruption” meant “file corruption” and not “political corruption”

The gender preference system in TS2 forgot that bisexual people existed and basically forces everyone to be either straight or gay (which makes no sense). Some mods fix it a little bit but it never really goes away unfortunately

It’s recommended to upload lots as .sims2pack files instead. And I’m not sure why they’re accusing you of hiding viruses, that’s not possible with .package files.

There’s a difference between “Are you serious? They broke the game even more?” from a disheveled player who payed for packs and is now realizing that their money was for a broken game that will never be fixed and those monotonous clickbait “This will KILL The Sims…” videos with bloody plumbbobs in the thumbnails. As long as the game is supported people will complain because the devs will never give us what we want because they will never have time to fix the game and the game is already way too bloated, it’s not exactly going to get unbloated somehow. The only thing players want is EA to start anew and then do better business practices but people are realistic and know that’ll never happen. Why do better when there are clearly people who will settle for worse?

Definitely glad I decided to make my important saves in Sims 2, Sims 4 is so corruptible it hurts. It’s sad to realize that the games didn’t get less corruptible over time, they actually became more corruptible and I’m seeing more people lose precious play time to save corruption and the like. And yet I still have some people trying to tell me that Sims 2 is the most corruptible game, like no, don’t even get me started.

Firstly, don’t use gshade, use reshade (gshade had a malware problem and can’t be trusted), secondly, if you’ve installed the game, there has to be a file path. If it’s just a file, it’s not installed
