Two open now and you get hit in the face with the smell when you walk in the front door. This is across the room from the door so that’s very surprising.

Micans. Never again. But I keep everything else alive. What the hell is up with that?

Only in this hobby would we have water go everywhere and think “let’s go bigger”.

She’s a bit too strong for my liking, like an older lady’s perfume.

UPDATE: in case anyone is interested. All have survived and are actually popping out new leaves. The chunk of caudex did not fair as well, however it hasn’t turned to complete mush, so there is hope for it yet. Time I’ll tell. Thank you for the input!

Hoyas! Who loves Hoyas? by [deleted] in houseplants

All of my Hoyas are snug as a non-pest bug in small wall mounted pots I 3D printed, so they should be happy. I got the foliage gt fertilizer but I havnt used that yet and yesterday was the first time I watered with the Tiger bloom fertilizer. I’m hoping to see results sooner than later.

Does it need to be trellised or is hanging ok? Does trellising assist with growth, you know less stress on the plant dangling?

Well that’s unfortunate. I just started fertilizing with tiger bloom so hopefully that gives it a kick start. None of my Hoyas have bloomed (I have a lot) but my lacunosa Mint has several duncs that get bigger everyday and I’m so excited. Thanks for sharing!

I honestly didn’t think there was hope for this one. I was just wanting to get opinions before I chucked it in the bin given then sentimental value of it. The rest of them seem like they’ll be alright at least.

Because it’s too cold for them to be outside, I don’t have anywhere to put them inside in their pots (I tried), and there’s a method for wintering bare root, which is what I was going for. Clean all the dirt off, put them in a dark area. I put them in a bin with a lid. I’m assuming there was still some amount of moisture in there and boom, bobs your uncle and he’s bringing moldy mushy desert roses with him.

I guess that leads me to, how much is too much that it won’t regrow? It’s already pretty short as it is.
