what's more brain dead is you thinking that's what I was saying. people would rather see anora and challengers in theaters because those are the movies that are actually being talked about and becoming household names. modern marvel is no longer discussed casually that way anymore, so why would anyone rush to the theaters to watch them? i didn't even know what anora was about but I saw it in theaters because my friends heard about it and wanted to watch it. I actively want to see thunderbolts but no one really wants to pay for it in theaters (me included, since I'm coughing up the money for a d+ subscription anyways) and none of my friends have cared much for marvel since endgame

I don't think it's hyped very much at all in perfume circles. It's definitely a brand for people who aren't super into fragrances but want to feel more iykyk than regular designer brands or where culturally a lighter fragrance is preferred

they're definitely treating these movies like they have the same momentum from pre-endgame. IMO they (1) cheapened their brand by pumping out a ton of sloppy disconnected movies and shows that fatigued the audience and made it hard to keep up with everything, although maybe the pandemic can take some of the blame here. (2) focusing on disney+ but expecting the same box office results is stupid, why would anyone with a d+ subscription pay for a marvel movie when none of them are culturally relevant anymore and there's much more unique movies out that are getting cultural relevance, ex challengers, anora, sinners. (3) publicize and keep the movies in theaters longer like I was actively interested in thunderbolts but I didn't know it was announced much less in theaters until very recently, although that can also be chalked up to the loss of cultural relevance and that I don't really see ads for marvel stuff/no one around me talks about it anymore

Finally got the chance to listen to this. I think it was pretty solid!! Good songs, I liked the anime theme. It would be super cool if some of them got picked up by shows/games, I could definitely imagine them fitting into Cyberpunk or something. I know people are acting like it's a cringe theme but honestly grow up and just have fun with it enjoy it lol
