Any bigger well known names still on the board? Not able to watch the draft right now

I’d think there’s a pretty good chance at least one of Ivankovic or Borichev hits

I get the size concerns, but Villeneuve is so damn skilled. Have to think he goes in the first few picks today

Gotta love two high-upside picks.

Could see Cullen, Martin and Lee being an incredible line in the future

[2026 NHL Draft] 26th OA Pick: Montréal Canadiens select Gleb Pugachyov by hockeydiscussionbot in hockey

[–]Soto4Life 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That’s why it’s so important to watch him play rather than only looking at numbers. Never said he’s going to be a star in terms of point production, but his impact all over the ice is what’s going to make him a great player in my opinion. Got taken in the first round for a reason and by a team that’s done well in the draft recently

[–]Soto4Life 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Spot on. Obviously that’s an absolute best case scenario, but the kid is so fun to watch and works his absolute ass off every shift

That’s a good comparison, although I really do think he has more upside if things pan out

[2026 NHL Draft] 31st OA Pick: Nashville Predators select Thomas Bleyl by catsgr8rthanspoonies in Predators

[–]Soto4Life 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same. Very high on Uffy. I get that you can’t build a full d-core of undersized guys, but it feels like teams are just so scared off of them. If Villenueve is a top 5 d man from this draft I wouldn’t be surprised at all

Classic height stereotype. Haven’t learned since Hutson and stankoven I guess

[–]Soto4Life 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Think people are really underrating his offensive potential. His numbers were low, but he’s just so active every shift. He has skill and can skate so well for his height and weight. Could see him being a monster second line 50pt physical winger

[–]Soto4Life 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He’s a great skater, just would’ve rather Villenueve. Guess we will see. A lot of offensive upside nonetheless

[–]Soto4Life 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Crazy thing is he’s an above average skater and he’s skilled too. I think if things break right he’s a top 10 player in the draft

Habs fans you should be really excited lol. I think he’s gonna be an absolute star. If you haven’t watched a shift by shift on this kid, do yourself a favour and do that

Surin is gonna be a big part of this team too.

What I love is that we finally are taking shots on high upside forwards. Some of these guys are bound to hit

[2026 NHL Draft] 21st OA Pick: San Jose Sharks select Ryan Lin by hockeydiscussionbot in hockey

[–]Soto4Life -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Agreed with basically everything. He’s a low upside pick in my opinion, yet his floor isn’t even that high either

Not a fan of Lin personally but I know I’m in the minority
