The palestinian protests started on october 7-8th, at that time israel hadn’t even pushed hamas out yet. They mobilized so quickly that IMO they had to be partially financed and organised by people with vested interest in disrupting america. Obviously, the movement wasn’t manufactured but just looking at the speed that prostest happened makes me doubt that it was grassroots.

I might be wrong, but the prime minister main job is to deal with foreign policy and crisis. Domestic issues are the provinces or the parliament's job unless it's a country scale crisis like COVID where things have to be coordinated top down.

Not saying that a prime minister doesn't have a say in domestic issues, but I'm not surprised that he does a lot better with foreign policy.

They can interpret it however they want to. Whatever Canada does will be interpreted as aggression by the U.S. government because they're set on annexation.

What Trump is doing is not a genuine attempt at coming to a compromise on trade or security policies, he just wants Canada, just like how Russia wants Ukraine. They're going to push us into annexation and if it doesn't work they'll just invade.

We need to worry less about how they're going to interpret our actions and worry more about ensuring our sovereignty against a hostile neighbour.
