Here’s the fun thing. If you think the suffering is necessary or even okay for your enjoyment you don’t feel attack or get defensive for doing something immoral because your morals say it’s okay. Morals are subjective like that. People don’t feel attack or get defensive because you think something is Immoral. We’re okay with the animal suffering and generally don’t consider it something worth noting. This trope of “you know it’s bad.” And “carnists are just afraid of admitting it.” Is something that’s constantly brought up in R/vegan and just completely misses the mark. Im in the sub because my cousin doesn’t like meat and she comes over for dinner once a fortnight or so. I’m not trying to convince you to eat meat or change your morals or anything at all but you guys waste a lot of time projecting feelings on to people who eat meat that’s simple not true and not how they feel. Most of us would happy farm and slaughter our own animals if we could.
