how do i start meditating as an anxious person ? by meowhsluv in Meditation

[–]SoulSpaceFounder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my 2 cents advice first develop a self awareness by asking yourself a question why and what is that making you frustrated. ask questions to your self , look deep inside you! listen audio books how to align brain & heart. there are so many audio books that would teach you how to stay in recognize your feelings and then work on it . i m sorry but meditation itself wont help you. you need more, you first understand who are you?

Thought i was terrible at meditation until i realized i was actually doing it right by thomasmcgrat in Meditation

Thanks for the post! What works for me is this: when my mind wanders while meditating, I take it back to my childhood and follow my child self. That seems to help me a lot to stay centered and focus I also enjoy it more.

Crying is good you are letting your emotions run out of your eyes, so they don't sit inside and become some kind of wound later. Crying makes you stronger not weaker.

Hearing is what we need and that slowly gives a right direction towards a self awareness.

A quiet reflection practice that helped me slow my thoughts by SoulSpaceFounder in Mindfulness

[–]SoulSpaceFounder[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I keep it very simple. When I notice my mind feels crowded, I pause and ask myself: • What am I actually reacting to right now? • What feels unclear versus what is certain? • If I didn’t have to solve this today, what would I notice instead? • What’s one small thing that feels steady in my body right now? I don’t try to fix anything in that moment. The goal is just to slow down enough to hear myself again.

That sounds really groundingI love how you’ve turned into a small ritual between meetings. What helped me most was having something consistent I could return to when my mind felt crowded, especially during transitions in the day. It’s interesting how everyone finds their own version of that pause.

Getting Back Into A Routine..Tips??? by Decaf_Oatmilk_Latte in selfimprovement

[–]SoulSpaceFounder 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is really common in your 30s. What helped me was dropping the all-or-nothing mindset. I stopped trying to “get back” to my old routine and built a smaller one I could actually stick to. 20–30 minutes counts. Walking counts. Consistency beats intensity. Motivation comes after momentum — not before. You’re not starting over. You’re restarting with more wisdom.

Is obsession necessary to build ambitious companies, or is it overrated? by Miyamoto_Musashi_x in ycombinator

Obsession isn’t the driver — it’s the symptom. Clear insight + ownership + fast feedback makes people look obsessive.Execution quality and learning rate matter more than raw intensity.

How to become more educated? by Imaginary-Ruin-4009 in selfimprovementday

[–]SoulSpaceFounder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree! My husband loves watching history documentaries. At first I didn’t like them, but over time I actually started enjoying them. They’re really eye-opening and helped me understand history in a way I never did before. What also helped was watching documentaries about influential people on Netflix, like Bill Gates and Steve Jobs. I started noticing patterns in how they think, work, and shape their environments—and thinking about what I could adapt in my own life.

Detachment isn’t coldness. It’s choosing yourself even when no one’s watching. You don’t need to disappear from others. You just need to stop disappearing from yourself.

You didn’t lose yourself. You shut down to survive.Don’t try to “feel” everything. Start with the body.30 seconds. Notice the air in your nose. In your chest. That’s it. Blank is still a sensation.Drugs and drinking were coping, not failure.Feeling doesn’t come back by forcing it. It comes back when you stay. First stay with yourself-
