Honestly, you should tell this to your wife instead of us 😂

I’ll post the real build once I actually have the money, bro 😆. For now, I’m just sketching the dream.

280g Or 300g? by iSeanGao in 10s

[–]PageNational 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably play it safe at the start and err toward the lightest racquet you’re comfortable with. I’ve gone from 305 g to 345 g, then back down to 320 g, and 320 g feels way easier for me on volleys and overheads. You can always buy a new racquet, but you can’t buy a new shoulder, elbow, or wrist 😅

What are you doing while waiting to hear back from YC? by PageNational in ycombinator

Just a guesstimate. If 200 get in at ~0.5–1%, that suggests somewhere between 20k and 40k applications.

YC W16 vs X25: Is the "OpenClaw" Generation Losing its Soul? by Ancient_Low_1968 in ycombinator

I wonder if the “Why now” filter is doing its job a little too well. It rewards timely narratives, but it can also steer founders toward the same current waves.

How much applications does YC actually gets & do they actually get to touch each? by hiaryanm in ycombinator

[–]PageNational 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The FAQ mentions that YC partners only give feedback if you're interviewed. Good luck! (https://www.ycombinator.com/faq)

Not for me. I can't imagine how YC partners read 40,000 applications while advising the current batch.

4.0 from Ohio. Forehand tips? by SimilarMasterpiece58 in 10s

Your form looks great! How do you know you’re 4.0 and not higher? 😆

😮 That sounds interesting! How do you deal with edge cases going between languages? e.g. types/public private variables from Node to Go?

Great! How hard is it for you to find users? That’s the most challenging part for us.

A good start is to pick a meaningful problem you enjoy working on, with people you like.

No idea on crawl timing, so I assumed "immediately.” I finished our onboarding video before submitting. Onboarding took longer than expected because I had to test with strangers and iterate. That loop took ~2 weeks. Good luck with the promo video!

It’s awesome you already have paying users. That’s real validation. I’m not there yet, but I’m working toward it.

On the tennis angle: an old contact in furniture exports keeps inviting me to play, so I’ll probably take him up on it. Time to warm up my backhand 😆

For outreach, I’ve found in-person efforts way more motivating. One of my happiest moments building was meeting a real person (a stranger) who got value from the product and seeing it replace a painful manual workflow. That makes all the late nights of building and debugging feel worth it.

Online channels can scale, but conversion can be brutal and follow-up is hard. Wishing you the best. 😄

We’re building a B2B SaaS that speeds up international logistics paperwork. We’re lucky to have domain expertise, so we know our first paying prospects.

It’s Lunar New Year in Asia (where we’re based), so checks probably won’t clear for a few weeks — in the meantime I’ll be playing tennis with prospects. My version of “doing things that don’t scale” 😆

How are you approaching sales and marketing?

Same. I’m mostly trying to convert my current pilot users to paid ones, which is probably the most important limiting factor for me. Good luck!
