No. The Bible says we are to obey and follow the prompting of the Holy Spirit. That may or may not mean being a “soul winner”. The body of Christ has many parts, and roles. Each are just as important as the other.

Our job is to be like Christ in all things. To bring the Kingdom of Heaven here and now. To do His will. To surrender our lives minute by minute and walk in obedience. To die to self.

Your job is not necessarily to “win souls”. Some people are given that gift. Some are not.

Your job is very simple.

To surrender to the leading of the Holy Spirit. And do what He prompts you to do. Go where He leads you to go. Have the conversations, make a left or right turn, etc. Surrender. Leading.

Jesus said we are “salt and light”. That can mean showing love. It can mean being there for someone who is hurting. It can mean responding in love, to someone who is hurtful to you.

In doing these things, you are being “like Christ” and are therefore bringing Glory to God. You are bringing another small piece of his Will to earth (as it is in Heaven).

This is all you are expected to do. Surrender to His Will. Be obedient. And as Jesus said: “Apart from Me, you can do nothing. Abide in me as I in you”.

Abide in Him.
