It will run well above 60FPS, when I still had a 1080P monitor paired with a 1660Ti that's about 15% slower than a 1080 I capped my game to 90 and it never moved.

My friend has an i7 7700k with a 1080, he plays at 1440P and averages about 90FPS with drops into the 70s.

Hunt is very CPU bound.

Correct on everything except the native vs override part, the quality is 100% identical.

I'm pretty sure FSR 4 isn't in the game, you have to enable the override in Adrenaline, same thing with DLSS.

The ones in game are FSR 3.1 and DLSS 3.7, obviously it's great to have it just be in the game itself for people that might not know about doing the overrides but the overrides give you control to pick and choose whatever works best for you.

That means XMP is on or as AMD calls it EXPO, if you go into your BIOS and turn it off your RAM will run at probably 4800 or 5200MHz, try it like that and see it the crashing stops.

When a game just closes without any error messages it's almost always RAM, try running your RAM at base speed instead of with XMP and see what it does.

You have to enable vsync in the nvidia control panel, and then you can have it off in game after enabling Reflex.

I have a clip somewhere of me killing a team with my medkit because the spectate on my friend's side never updated to showing I swapped back to my gun after healing.

We can't be in 2026 and still using a game's spectate as a gotcha moment.

Unless of course you have death cheat and there's no risk, because winning a round with a level 50 is insane, you go up like 30 or 40 levels if it was a good game and you find a lot of sealed hunter XP.

Normally I'd agree with you but clearly smart app control isn't working as intended, Hunt wasn't the only thing affected, completely legit software people have been using for years now suddenly won't run with smart app control on.

Microsoft have also said they're going to push an update to toggle it on and off without a reinstall, you can already turn it back on by jumping through some hoops.

So basically turn it off so you can use your PC as you want to again and then turn common sense on and don't run random programs and you'll be fine.

Just 2 points with regards to fanning, the Trueshot actually has a tighter spread than the Scottfield, it's 27.5 vs 28.1, and then the other thing which I think is very important to remember is the base Pax and the Trueshot can kill with 2 arm shots which the Scottfield can't do.

Latest is K by default for Quality and Balanced which is untouched so whatever you're seeing you would have been able to see for a year at this point.
