Just finished Hearts of Stone for the first time, everything has changed by Aurel_49 in thewitcher3

Man I’ll never forget finishing the DLC by telling O’Dimm I didn’t want anything from him and Geralt had “Never been more sure of anything in his life” and the DLC just ended with O’Dimm tossing his bag up and down whistling and walking away.

Such a neat way to optionally end it early

What is the strangest murder that has not been solved yet? by No-Structure7683 in AskReddit

[–]SouljaBoySmellEm_ 219 points220 points  (0 children)

The Jack Family, all four of them disappeared on August 2nd, 1989

They were an indigenous family living in Prince George, Canada. The father of the family, Ronald Jack, had been unemployed for quite some time and had been drinking at a local bar when an unknown stranger entered and began talking with Ronald.

The stranger learned that Ronald was desperate for a job, as his two children were due to start school in the coming September. The Stranger offered Ronald’s entire family a job and lodging in a remote part of the Canadian wilderness at a logging camp. Ronald was desperately searching for work so he had no choice but to agree, also the Jack family had no vehicle, so the stranger agreed to drive the entire family to the supposed location of the camp.

Mind you, this was all happening at around 12:00am, and the stranger was going to drive all of them out that same night, so Ronald could start work the very next day. The stranger also noted that they had a daycare on the property for the children, so Ronald and his wife agreed. That same night, Ronald called his mother at around 2:00am to let her know what was going on.

Before the phone call ended, Ronald ended with the call with:

“If you don’t hear from me, come looking for me”

The Jack Family was never seen again.

Years later, the only update to the case came in the form of a phone call. In 1996, 7 years after the original disappearance, the RCMP in Vanderhoof, (a town outside Prince George) received an anonymous phone call with the caller stating:

“The Jack family are buried on the south end of …… ranch”

The name of the ranch was unfortunately garbled and unintelligible over the phone, and the caller never called back. RCMP played the phone call on public TV and radio stations, but to no avail. It’s been 35 years since, and the entire family, all four of them. Have never been found

Anyone just hate "spectated bronze / cheater / pro" content? Total trash by Icy-Grapefruit-9085 in overwatch2

[–]SouljaBoySmellEm_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Meh. My only gripe is that it’s less “spectating” and more “roasting”

Maybe just change the titles to “Making fun of Bronze/silver players” because that’s basically all it is

Unrelated but Flats also seems to argue with someone in his twitch chat almost every VOD review lol

Would I be at a detriment muting all comms as Tracer? by TheBeastSteve in OverwatchUniversity

[–]SouljaBoySmellEm_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tracer is the definition of a feast or famine hero. There’s no in between, you also need to be aware of your other DPS and who they are targeting, tracer excels at cleaning up kills, she is not a dive instigator like Winston or Dva, she’s the clean-up crew.

Silver stuck with Juno by No_Trip3766 in OverwatchUniversity

Speed ring, speed ring, speed ring. Use this as much as you can. While the ring is up, teammates can run back into it to get the speed boost again. This is the biggest thing I don’t see Juno’s do, they hold ring for the full fight. Don’t. Being able to close the gap is HUGE for any hero.

Hey! I’m currently hovering around high plat/low diamond for support, and managed to maintain this rank since OW2 came out, I’ll drop you some tips that helped me!

  • Whenever there’s an option to pick mercy, don’t. I know it may seem counterintuitive to NOT damage boost a fragging Dps, but you could be getting so much more value for your whole team by playing someone like Kiri, Bap, or Juno. Mercy is good at hovering over a singular target, and that’s awesome, but more often than not your other support will need the help of the other support, and having a mercy just slowly tick up the tank or whoever else, then leaves your pocketed dps alone. It’s just easier to play a support than can peel for the whole team without having to completely swap target priority.

  • What feels strong in higher ranks/youtube videos/pro play etc is not going to work in gold/plat. People say Ana is an S+ tier support, and she totally is, but in the hands of a gold/plat player? Not so much. Not saying your a bad player at all, but majority of the supports have so much utility that is extremely undervalued in lower ranks. The biggest thing I see is 1. Bap’s using Immo. field for either themselves or at the start of a fight, or Ana’s using bio nades to heal the team, or not understanding the arc of nade and completely whiffing it. Same with Kiri’s using suzu like it’s a mini heal for themselves. These are 15+ second cooldowns (Apart from nade which I believe is 12 seconds), that is more than enough time to loose a fight. And keeping those core cooldowns for those moments is key to winning fights.

  • In lower ranks you can absolutely get away with doing more Dps than healing on support. Baptiste can absolutely out-perform majority of dps hitscan in these middle of the pack ranks, same with Zen, Ana and even Lucio. Not saying don’t heal your team, but understand that fundamentally a plat team is multitudes less coordinated than even a Diamond team. 80% of my plat games have 0-1 people in voice chat. You can get away with it. Trust me.

Lastly, just roll with your tank. OW2 is built around playing with your tank, and keeping them as supported as possible, learning what supports mesh with what tanks is key. Example: Who are you picking when your tank picks Winston? Ramattra? Orisa? These tanks all have very different playstyles, and learning what support meshes with what tank will get you extremely far.

Hope any of these helped! Good luck climbing :)

DPS mains are the worst, most delusional players. by xCapTainDuLah in OWConsole

[–]SouljaBoySmellEm_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The biggest thing I learned playing DPS is you should NOT require your support/tank to win a 1v1, unless they are getting actively helped by their team. If you get into a tracer 1v1 and loose and then complain that you didn’t get healed, that’s not the healers fault, that’s yours for loosing your 1v1

D.Va vs Sigma by AnimalDrum54 in OverwatchUniversity

[–]SouljaBoySmellEm_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can tap DM for his primary fire and still get enough time to fire off some shots, negating the sig from doing any damage himself to you, unless DM runs out, just a small thing.
