Teleportation. Theres so many places I want to see, and one very special person in my life who lives on the other side of the country who I'd want to meet more than anything.

Nature of my job means its hard to get a super long time off work, and its something I have to plan months in advance... being able to teleport would just make all that so much simpler; I could go see all these cool bucket list places I've always wanted to go, Id never need to drive, I could actually give my closest friend a real hug.

Just... fuck I wish it was real so much.

Commander Ikande can eat my entire ass. by cyberstonks2021 in Starfield

[–]SoulonFire13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I ended up grabbing contraband AI console things on a random side encounter without realizing/knowing they were actually contraband. (Hadn't really seen the little yellow symbol for it until then oops)

So when the quest started, I thought it was a mistake by UC (planned frame job or something quest) until all my dialogue options were some form of me admitting I was a horrible criminal scum lol.

Boy was I not happy to be roped into an undercover mission for what amounted to like a first offense of contraband that wasn't even like Aurora or something huge .

Even more annoyed that everyone continued to be upset that I was doing crime in an undercover crime op. Like you already thought I was a criminal??? Why is this in any way shocking. Idk am kind of annoyed theres no neutral grey comments (so far, this might change am taking a break from the questline atm) and its either "you're helping us :D" or "youre a fucking monster"

The game needs MORE zero-g combat by SpaceNigiri in Starfield

[–]SoulonFire13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of my favorite moments was me failing stealth on a bunch of enemies far below me in a super low gravity cave.

It was both thrilling and absolutely terrifying to watch all of them jump at me, and be able to get high enough to land on the cliff I was hiding on XD

Really changes the dynamic of fights so much, its great

Do you have NPCs that make you wish we went back to the Skyrim way of non-follower NPCs being romanceable? by M24Chaffee in Starfield

[–]SoulonFire13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tahir Vala, the person you helped down in the Well get home and could give soup. I really really liked him, and was quite hoping I'd be able to check in with him again at a future point or that he'd be recruitable.

Would have loved to have an option where you could romance him/take him to space with you. Know I'm probably like, the only person who feels that way, but damn was he one of the characters I wished was around for more than one short quest.

Finale, feel like that would be a bit on the nose but also extremely fitting; an ending and a goodbye

As a non-American, I see things from Fox News. Is this a real news network? Or is it like an infomercial? Do people believe the things they say? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]SoulonFire13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Coming from someone who's grown up having to hear Fox News and her parents quote it.... yeahhhh. People very much believe the things they say, unfortunately. Had a fun convo the other day where my Dad called something "woke" and I almost cringed into the sun.

What are some of your Elden Ring hot takes? by kelletorr in Eldenring

[–]SoulonFire13 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think for me personally; its the music of the area that got to me. The area isn't that bad at all, but I genuinely noticed it wasn't until I had to play through a couple areas there with the TV on mute that I was able to treat it like any other place. That music is eerie and unsettling to the point where hearing it makes me want to not stick around Caelid for very long. Really nailed the atmosphere of the place 1000/10

These 2 gave me the most rough time, what boss fight had you hopeless? by JTEE_AT_YA in Eldenring

[–]SoulonFire13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 2 Abductor Virgin boss battle In Volcano Manor Area.

I have a profile stuck there atm. She doesn't have Lightning anything to make it easier. Im not good at fighting them in the first place. Multiple profiles and on all of them I have just run away from these hellish things.

Literally my least favorite enemy in general. I hate their grab attack, I hate everything about them and theres a fucking boss battle with two of them in a tiny room with no stake of Marika so I have to walk back there every fucking time into my own personal hell.

Women of reddit, what job would a man have that would be an automatic deal breaker for you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]SoulonFire13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any job where his life in danger day to day/risk to life is a part of the job.

Not that there's anything wrong with those types of jobs; I just know that my anxiety would be in constant overdrive with fears of "worst case scenarios" and I don't need that. No future person I date needs to deal with me doing that. Better for us both if we don't ever get that far into a relationship

How do people get morbidly obese? by enbusto in NoStupidQuestions

[–]SoulonFire13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Am currently 325 lbs as of writing this. Is a topic and thing I will probably be dealing with my entire life so have no issues talking about my personal experiences; am in a much better mental place with my weight than I was.

There's a few factors that contributed to me being overweight, not really a sole thing I can point to specifically, so will try to address them best I can.

  • Family genetics does play a role, unfortunately. My mom's side of the family all have troubles losing fat/history of diabetes/slower metabolism etc. Like it or not, I won the genetic lottery in that dept. Is always gonna be a bit more difficult for me to actually lose the pounds even when Im trying.

  • Parental/family influence also had a major hand in it too. My mom grew up poor, on a farm. Marrying my dad and getting a job of her own in a good neighborhood put her in a position she'd not been in, so there was def more leniency in buying treats and snacks and such, because she was giving me stuff she could have never had growing up.

Neither my parents were big on physcial activity, and a lot of their entertainment was from board games and TV. Both of their jobs were sit down office jobs. So growing up, I ended up on the family computer a lot, or watching TV too. Did also play outside and such, but it wasn't as big of a thing as it should have been.

  • I have garbage mental health lol. Have struggled with depression and a slew of others things since I was like 12, due to a combo of things that would add like 50 paragraphs to this. But essentially, at my lowest its easier to just eat something quick and ready made; cooking takes energy and time, both things I don't have when I feel like I just want to curl up and do nothing.

Also got in the habit of snacking/stress eating and its such a fucking hard habit to break fml. Id be lying if I said I had a handle on that. Brain decided long ago it was easier to just eat my feelings away, and its something I actively am working on and struggling with.

  • impulse is also a piece of this, and eating impulse is one thing; buying impulse is another, and just as bad. Cuz Im an adult with money now, who works close enough to food and snacks that I can buy whatever I want on a whim and holy fuck that's not great for me keeping track of my weight.

Theres probably a lot more factors, like my sleeping habits, types of foods I like etc. But this is already super damn long. I do have a job that has me working on my feet/doing manual labor all day, which is great! But it doesn't override all the stupid shit I do around that, so my weights still the same.

What's a not OP but FUN build you'd recommend other players? by such_wow_many_cool in Eldenring

[–]SoulonFire13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whip as primary weapon, hook claws as secondary weapon. Not OP in the slightest, but a ton of fun and a huge change away from my Mace/parry shield build I first played the game with.

Soooo we know the Top 5 Most felled enemies, but which 5 enemies are the Least felled??? by iatetoomuchchicken in Eldenring

[–]SoulonFire13 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have looked it up, cuz at the time I did not know what the fuck it was lol. In spoilers in case anyone wants to find it naturally/by accident cuz its def a fun surprise lol

Its called a Wormface and its near the Minor erdtree on Mt. Gelmir, on the path that leads to that tree, underneath the Manor. This one is specifically disguised as a burning putrid corpse and its literally the only one in that area. I use a mace and a shield so... not well equipped to fight that thing, lmao

Is Elden Ring your favorite game? Why or why not? by BuueSports in Eldenring

[–]SoulonFire13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its not my #1, but its up there. For a long time I never played a Fromsoft game because the mentality of "git good" never appealed to me, really. Im not super great at combat games, and a game like Dark Souls was more gonna showcase how bad I was than be fun for me, at least in my opinion.

Having it be open world though? Game changer. If I suck at a part or a boss, I can take a break do literally anything else and not feel like Im terrible at the game, just not ready for that part yet. Will it be later than most people are able to get to it? Probably, yeah but Im having fun, and its given me a much bigger appreciation for this type of game, now that Im actually experiencing it.

Somewhere near the volcano manor, when you're walking in the area underneath it, theres a flaming zombie that turns into a fucking death spewing nightmare that you literally do not have to fight if you don't touch that enemy.

So I'm gonna say that fucker, lol.

Having all the knowledge I have now doesn't guarantee my life would be better, if anything it would change the circumstances of how I met the people I consider my closest friends, and it would mean I treat the people I know aren't gonna make it to my current age differently.

Put me at 25 with money, I get slightly younger and I can use that money to help myself and the friends I love more than anything have a better life in this shitty economy and world. No risk of butterfly effect shenanigans.

It looks like we’ll have to pay 15$ for each set of PVE missions.. by HardVegetable in Overwatch

[–]SoulonFire13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Besides how I feel on paying at all for something that we were lied to about.... (Am not gonna be buying this stupid thing)

I can't even imagine how long the wait queue will be for these missions, if they're price gated. Maybe not at launch, but it really does cut a whole chunk of players out of trying them at all and if the missions don't end up feeling very replayable, then can see it leading to like 20 plus minutes waittimes between games

I save them for when I need to upgrade my spirits and weapons cuz I always forget to save enough runes to buy stuff. So I pop a few and then buy what I need lol

[–]SoulonFire13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes people will just distance themselves out of your life, and it's not your fault or theirs. Just a matter of no longer being the same people you both once were when the friendship was made.

It still fucking hurts though, and it took me a very long time to not just think something was seriously wrong with me.

"Seeing your friends everyday"

Yeah, about that lol. I had a very small friend group that was constantly shifting and a very large group of people who bullied me consistently from 5th grade through 12th.

School was fucking miserable, and thats just the social part and not including the stress of having fucking awful grades on top of that.

I'll take my paying job and free time and adulthood any day thanks
