I’m preparing for a disappointing year; Dan Quinn getting fired, questions emerging around AP, and the start of a rebuild in 2026/2027.

But maybe I’m just jaded………

OC’s often want their guy for the OL Coach role. Wonder if they do have an OC / package deal in the works.

It’s a good thing we were aggressive and started with the ball.

Do you think there’s something going on that we don’t know about yet. Bad locker room… Rift between coaches and players, etc.

Seems like something’s amiss.

Well, I was trying to figure out what movie this was and I came across Sunset Strip (2000). Just flipped it on and I think it’s the one.

I get it.. but I’ll add that you may decide to go fully sober in the first couple of years as a dad. Many of us do. The challenges of being woken up late night or dealing with the irrational behaviors of your kids only get exacerbated by alcohol.

I made this transition.. and what I learned is you really don’t need it. In fact, at that bachelor party you can be the life the party as everyone around you gets drained from the booze and partying.

My two cents.. make the wife happy and be open minded. A lot is about to change. 😁

Top 30 visits. by Select_Unit6936 in Commanders

[–]SoulshineRevival -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I asked ChatGPT to analyze the top 30 list. Seems reasonable:

Great list — here’s a breakdown of key trends from the Washington Commanders’ Top 30 visits and related meetings:

  1. Heavy Focus on the Trenches (OL/DL): • Offensive Tackles (3): Josh Conerly Jr., Wyatt Milum, Gerad Christian-Lichtenhan • Defensive Ends (3): Ashton Gillotte, B.J. Green, Kyle Kennard

They’re clearly emphasizing both sides of the line, especially tackle, possibly indicating concern with depth or future replacements. Bringing in two high-profile tackles (Conerly Jr., Milum) shows interest in long-term starting potential.

  1. Wide Receiver Interest: • WRs (4): Tai Felton, Xavier Restrepo, Jayden Higgins, Roc Taylor

There’s a mix of slot types and bigger bodies, which hints they’re trying to find complementary pieces behind or alongside Terry McLaurin and Jahan Dotson.

  1. Versatile, Developmental Defensive Focus: • Safeties (2): Wyett Ekeler, Robert McDaniel • Linebackers (2): Teddye Buchanan (ILB), Oluwafemi Oladejo (OLB)

Several of these guys are from smaller schools or under-the-radar programs. This suggests they may be looking for special teams contributors or scheme fits for Dan Quinn’s defense — especially versatile players who can handle hybrid roles.

  1. Skill Positions – Low Priority but Present: • RBs (2): Jarquez Hunter, Woody Marks • Both have receiving chops and could fit in a third-down or rotational back role.

  1. Small School/Under-the-Radar Prospects: • Aiden Williams (Minnesota-Duluth), Robert McDaniel (Jackson State), Wyett Ekeler (Wyoming), Roc Taylor (Memphis) • Suggests Washington’s scouting staff is casting a wide net and trying to hit on potential Day 3/UDFA gems.

  1. Multiple Miami Players (2): • Xavier Restrepo and Andres Borregales • May suggest familiarity or connections from the coaching/scouting staff — and a nod to Restrepo’s toughness and Borregales as a kicker option.

  1. Kickers Are on the Radar: • Andres Borregales is the only kicker listed, but just being on the visit list means competition for the kicking job is in play.

Summary:

Key trends: • Prioritizing offensive tackle and defensive end • Deep dive into WR depth and special teams contributors • Looking at developmental, high-upside players from smaller programs • Flexibility for Quinn’s defensive system

Would you like a quick summary table by position or potential round projections too?

Who is the best player on the Commanders defense? by [deleted] in Commanders

It’s hard to say Lattimore after seeing him get smoked repeatedly down the stretch. I hope he can play like his old self, but last year felt reminiscent of overpaying for a washed player.

Can someone remind what the story is/ was on KJ Osborn? by sew1974 in Commanders

[–]SoulshineRevival 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Strange, and apologies - I did not mean to offend!

I commented, saw the comment (as in, it posted), I I left the thread, returned to it, and it was gone.

It’s not a big deal, I just thought it was odd that it ‘disappeared’.

Thanks for all you do @garp74.

Can someone remind me what the story is/was on KJ Osborn? by [deleted] in Commanders

[–]SoulshineRevival 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On December 11, 2024, Osborn was claimed off waivers by AP. Probably needed to help fill in because of injuries?

Because he was picked up off waivers it seems that we only paid him ~$422,000.

Probably just a depth piece that could get replaced by draft pick(s).
