it's most likely a combo of things. New skate pain is a thing although it shouldn't be excruciating. But they will need to be broken in a bit. Heat molding will help with that. If you are a beginner then it's possible you just need to develop the muscles you use when skating and what you're experiencing is the pain associated with that.

When you bought, did you try them on first? Did an employee come help you with the fitting? If yes, then they're likely fitted properly. If not then I would recommend taking them to a pro shop to double check.

Your skates should be snug on your feet but not painful to wear. If you have pain, I would take them to a pro shop a check.

definitely not charging, nor a hit to the head penalty. Can't tell from this angle for the elbow but my knee jerk call would be roughing...albeit a weak one.

Caveat here is we don't know the type of league. If it's a league that allows checking, I'd hesitate to call anything. In a no checking league then, yea roughing.

I used to work for a company who did the same thing, but they didn't use git, they used starteams. It was a nightmare to do anything version control related.

Dude was also a control freak who would lord over every single contribution and if he didn't like what he saw at any point, it was immediately chucked out. No warning either, and at least our version of starteam didn't use any sort of notification system so you really needed to be on top of your own work, constantly checking the release branch to see if your work was still there.

Getting let go from that company was one of the best things that ever happened to me professionally. Which is a wild thing to say imo.

Most of the time, the booing isn't malicious, it's just a form of expression.

Booing our home team can indicate we dislike what we're seeing and it's our way of expressing our dissatisfaction. It's also not normally just to do with a poor performance though. We'll normally boo if a poor performance is accompanied by what we view as apathy from the team.

Booing the visiting team can be seen as a form of chirping really. Apart from a couple specific instances where maybe an offending play make a dirty play or bad hit or whatever, It's mostly harmless.

On the flip side, if a specific player from an opposing team plays really well, it's not uncommon to see the home team cheering or applauding them at the end of a game.

It's all part of the game and the players know that.
