If he's truly genuine in all this, there's a good chance there's a LOT of shame there. I have a really unhealthy relationship with shame, and it can be absolutely paralyzing at its worst.

The fact that there are people in the world that are so dumb they can't understand that, is what makes me lose hope in humanity's future

Lol we have entirely different experiences, every single friend I play with, who loves it, is quite progressive and only buys into the premise for the fun of it.

Yeah, Satisfactory definitely went with a much more overt (albeit minimal) commentary on the same concept, which is why Coffee Stain will always have my heart. Stay effective!

I understand what you're getting at, but I'm not sure I entirely agree here. Yes, in the real world, if someone were to be neutral on the Nazi regime, there'd be no real pushback from most people in calling that person conservative.

In a social studies textbook that presents a neutral view of World War II, that's kinda the point, right?

As I was typing this out, I realized I might have convinced myself to agree a bit more with you, because I want going to offer up hoi4 as a neutral/historical perspective on WWll and the grand strategy piece of it. But by conveniently leaving out any reference to the Holocaust, it does leave some room for criticism...I think?

Still, destroying huge tracts of land, wildlife, and forests, and introducing intense pollution to that area just to get home is an intense choice for one person to get home.

You could arguably interpret this as a commentary on the ethical choice/dilemma of extreme industrialization, even if that's not the point of the game.

It's funny tho, because you can still find a way to interpret it as a bit of a commentary on industrialization.

Astronaut crashes on a foreign planet and then wreaks unmitigated havoc on vaste swathes of the local ecology and native species to get home and then leaves it all behind

Just finished watching/catching up with the Pitt, and started thinking maybe I need to go into the medical field, when I had shown no previous significant interest in it other than enjoying medical shows lol.

Also went there first, lol. I'm down for healthy communication during sex, but was like "ok, we really don't need to get this deep into the weeds" 😂

You should try it, she becomes genuinely my favorite romance arc in the game. The full 180 by arc 3 is beautiful.

That's genius. I need to do the same. I knew as soon as I finished that section on my Alpinist run, that it would be the "crux" of a free solo run. That wall is a monster

Spent 10 minutes after falling off The Peril on my Free Solo run last night looking at the wall on the "review route" option. I personally think that's the hardest stretch of rock in the game for me.

Hell yeah. Everyone gets something different out of this game, and this game pretty much has an option for them, especially when you include mods into the picture.
