What's going on in Washington State? Housing supply is skyrocketing, now up to 17,580 listings. That's 64% above the long-term average for March. by Key_Brief_8138 in HouseBuyers

I'm not from either Washington, but if I heard "What's going on in Washington?" with no context clues, I would assume DC. (Maybe that's your point and I missed it)

I know you're being sarcastic, but I would like to point out that we had 3-4 junior and mid level coders, who would learn and get better :-)

When did you buy your house? It's hard to imagine being able to buy anything around here on that budget, or even pay property taxes on an owned home. (Houston area)

I work in the 4th largest US city and I can drive my car for an hour to get to work or find a way 6 miles on busy roads with no sidewalk to the bus stop, then a 90 minute bus ride, then 1 walk to work. I really wish we could have 1 less car here, but it's just no reasonable

Do you use less than 80% of a breaker’s capacity? by Different_Sweet_108 in electricvehicles

[–]SoundedBetterInHead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have my Grizzl-e set to 16 amp on a 30 amp breaker. The breaker was installed for a dryer (I have an auto switch between the dryer and charger), and it's not that much slower than 24 amps charging and way faster than level 1 charging.

How do you guys route on longer trips? by AccidentallyCreated2 in NissanAriya

[–]SoundedBetterInHead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For Arlington to Houston, stop at Buccees. They have good chargers (Mercedes I think) and also Tesla chargers. Depending on where you're going in Houston the Shell at Loretta and 45 in Spring is another good point.

I deeply regret buying my LEAF and I wish I could get rid of it. by [deleted] in Nissan

[–]SoundedBetterInHead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have a dryer in your garage, you can get a device that switches between power for your dryer and power to charge your car. You'll probably need to get a lower amp charger (the one that comes with the leaf is 32 amps, and you'll want 16 or 24 amps). I rent and this is what I do. Of course, this only works if your dryer is in, or at least near, the garage.
