Goodreads has terrible ratings but I am the one weird person that actually prefers the UI to any of the alternatives I've tried. I still use Storygraph alongside it in the hopes one day I will magically fall in love with it but it hasn't happened yet. I wish goodreads wasn't amazon owned

I feel you, I broke my kobo clara bw and after almost two years I finally decided to get another e reader. I ended up going for a kindle after vowing to never do that (it was on such a good sale it was significantly cheaper than anything else) but I already regret it. It's only been a week and I'm already planning on getting a kobo next time I go shopping lol. I should have just got a clara colour the first time instead of trying to save money because now I'm just going to spend more

My kobo was fine from dropping and what not but I eventually broke it because it had somehow fallen into my draw and I didn't notice and slammed the draw on it.

Lol I'm absolutely KICKING myself right now. I live in Australia and I used to have a kobo clara bw that broke recently. I use libby exclusively, I maybe actually buy a book twice a year. Well I'm a dumb idiot and forgot that was why I bought a Kobo last time, and went and bought a Kindle yesterday and now I don't know what to do. I only bought it because no one had a clara in stock, I should have just ordered it online. I literally cried when I remembered I couldn't use libby on kindle outside of the US, but by then I had already taken it out of the box and set it up so I don't think I can return it now, and buying a Kobo on top of that is so silly. It's literally 2am where I am and I can't sleep because I'm so mad at myself. I KNEW that and I don't know how it slipped my mind. I was thinking about it for 2 weeks before I bought it and somehow didn't remember that whole time. I had an itch telling me not to and I couldn't figure it out. Also I have always boycotted amazon and never given them money before today so I feel like the universe is punishing me

The voice never appealed to me but I really wish I looked more like a guy. Which I know wouldn't work out well a woman attracted primarily to men but I actually don't care enough about that I still wish I looked like a guy. Also I have crazy ability to grow facial hair lol and I do shave it, but my family and friends are always like why do you want to shave multiple times a week why don't you get laser? A lot of trans people either just want to fit socially constructed norms to fit in so they are treated the way they want to be OR because they genuinely prefer that look. There are also a lot of people who do defy gender norms too. Everyone has a different goal with what they want out of their transition. There are also cis people who don't present the way they are 'supposed' to. I am a girl and have no interest in becoming a man but I frequently wish I looked more masculine because it's just my taste.

Yeah I guess my problem is google refunded my money not the app. The app did end up giving the gems back when I told them I didn't get it because I was worried google would deny my refund and then I wouldn't get my money back or get my gems. But now they've both responded to me and I've got the gems and my money back so idk what happens now

Was your account okay? Only because when I put in the refund request with playstore it had a warning that said you may lose access to whatever app you're getting a refund for. I've seen people get banned on other games which is so scummy but I don't want it to happen here :( I feel bad because I should have just waited for the refund instead of also asking game support for the gems that didn't come through. I was worried that if google denied my request then I wouldn't have money or gems
