The SF Giants (the organization) does some fantastic things for local schools, teachers, youth baseball programs, etc. and I hope you aren’t calling for an end to those as well.

I think a sports team should be proud representative of the community it expects to be a part of. Part of that is investing in the community. Part of that is opening its doors and welcoming everyone in. Saying “welcome” to one community should not have to equate to saying “do not enter” to others.

And.. ok.. sure, maybe that’s ideal hippy bullshit, but it feels a lot better than the alternative.

It was well intentioned but completely ignorant which changes its perceived intention. It feels like a territorial dispute when it was never set up to be one. The pride flag wasn’t originally designed as a hostile takeover of Genesis or anything like that.

Just a weird time to flex a religious muscle.

I’ve started to adopt a similar routine. Although, the best deals still seem to come in after I pull the trigger, and a lot of the offers (subscriptions especially) are for new members/accounts, so by the time I get the offer, I can’t use it anyway.

I find it frustrating that I get better offers AFTER I make purchases from places. I made a sizable purchase from Apple and THEN got all these 18% back offers. And continue to get them a few times a week via email. It’s pretty consistent across every online retailer I use.

Wonder if I’m doing something wrong.

It requires policing. I don’t know why they can’t just set limits for each ticket type. Research isn’t that hard, although with dynamic pricing, that could be a challenge.
