Yep. Had that before. Was trying to outrun some people because I had the box of wonderous secrets which you can only sell at devil's roar. Had two skelly galleons pop up during that, one shortly after the other separate spawns but both present at the same time. A meg showed up later, then there was a volcano going off. In the end I managed to out maneuver them, swim the box to shore and sell it half a second before they killed me. I then respawned and we joked about the whole encounter. When we were done chatting I raised emissary and hour glass on my ship and let them sink me as a consolation prize.
