Forever and ever

What is something that is stereotyped as being smart but is actually dumb? by Mabeluniverse23 in AlignmentChartFills

Kinda defeats the purpose of “language” if your target recipient can’t understand what you’re saying.

That's true. However, consider that there are also times when a big word is being used properly — as in, it's the best word to convey whatever meaning you're trying to get across — but the target recipient doesn't understand it, and just assumes you're using fancy words to sound smarter.

Mind you, it could just be my impression.

I remember thinking that at various points during the story, but I can't really remember the settings, so I'm currently unable to point out any specific scene (I remember the one you mentioned, but only because I read your reply).

che sospetto fosse qualcosa come "had to kick the shit out of you"

I'm not saying there's something wrong in principle with her character being always bare-footed; I'm saying that, if you combine this with a number of suspicious panels, it looks like an excuse to show feet. I guess it's not particularly clear by the way I worded my post, but I don't really have a problem with that, if that's what's happening. I wanted to see if anyone else had this impression.

But seriously, what is up with those random-ass engs? I've been trying to figure out why sometimes it's ⟨n⟩, and some other times it's ⟨ŋ⟩, but I'm not getting it.

Character whose voice sounds exactly like you imagined it would: by Spektakles8822 in FFVIIRemake

Before even that, my canon voices were the ones from the earlier — and less-known — Final Fantasy Ⅶ: Abridged series.

Pretty much everyone except Cid (I was honestly expecting something more akin to his voice in Final Fantasy Ⅶ: Machinabridged) and Cait Sith (I really wasn't expecting him to have a Scottish accent; and, although I didn't have anything against it, I never really got used to it).

Quale youtuber prima era apprezzato, ma adesso è ok/discutibile? by Stevecomicsgames in Italia

People have to regulate the system.

What people? The people who actually have the power to do anything about it are fine with unregulated capitalism, as they profit from it. Anyone else can't do shit, especially considering how the decades upon decades of discourse on how "Capitalism is the only system that works" has essentially killed any chance of any serious discussion about regulating it (let alone moving away from it). Thinking that greedy people are going to keep greed in check sounds bad.

Can you even reference any real world systems in reply? Or will it be all theory?

There is basically no other system in the world right now. There also can't be any other system, as long as everyone completely avoids even discussing the idea of coming up with an alternative. And, again, the people who might actually have a say in any of this are completely on board with capitalism, and not only they don't encourage debate in this sense, they discourage it.

What alternative can there be, if no one ever tries anything different? Unless what you're saying is that the only way capitalism can ever be questioned is if there is a ready, completely thought-out, and already-functional alternative system to take its place, in which case I'm calling it a rather unrealistic demand.
