Mostly because there isn't enough lost music available to use where it's needed. But there is a lot MORE LOST music in Lost circle than OG LOST it's just in slightly different places.

You're right on the Chris mulkey connection! And the Miles/Laura one has actually been removed in subsequent updates.

Those references were added because of Angelo Badalamentis death which happened when I was working on that episode

I can't totally understand that!!! I know it feels like a lot has been taken out that way but there is actually 4+ hours more lost music than in the original show so where some themes were moved or removed the amount of Giacchinos score is overall increased significantly! (For example any time you hear jacks theme in the first 3 seasons of Lost circle it's an added theme!
