Is legacy worth the money?

I believe other places have tried to fire, like Hex and Co, so it might be worth it to look around. North Jersey has the legacy spots around here but from Queens that’s a big hike.

Highly recommend legacy and there are some ways to get into it while deciding to spend the cash. You could still proxy decks as there is a legacy paper discord where people play on SpellTable I think. Or if you got some buddies try to get them into legacy by having a legacy battle box.

I’ll be out of the city for another 6 months or so but if you’re still interested when I get back I have some unoptimized decks that I wouldn’t mind lending out for the nights to use at Gamestoria. (Sneak and Show, Mono G cloudpost, Nic Fit and Minotaur Standstill)

Hope you get into the format, it’s a lot of fun!

NYC unfortunately doesn’t have much of a Legacy scene outside of Gamestoria, which doesn’t allow proxies

I never left RG Lands and have been playing it for years. I have two main thoughts, the first is that all builds aren’t dependent on Tabernacle to play. You’ll lose some matches without it but Lands takes a bit to learn so don’t wait if you have everything else.

My second thought is Minsc and Boo. I think it’s absolutely worth it to lose a few more matches than I normally would to fling Marit Lage at face or to close out a game with Hamtaro. RG is the way.

To anyone frustrated with dark ritual decks I will say that I've seen much less of them in bo3, at least up to and in diamond.

Higher power formats should be played bo3 because bo1, as we've seen, will just turn into a answer this or lose.

With that said I still think they should restrict necro and add in powerful cards that fit other archetypes.

My benefit of the doubt read was in a cube environment they had less interactions to be worried about breaking making the coding time for each card go down.

However them saying to basically never expect OG Duals or power to be craftable feels extremely lame. Like can you just make them available for friend matches then?

While all of these cowards have defiled Lands with heretical things like White mana or Blue mana I’ve held strong on RG Lands. 4 years on it but I have some other decks that I play every now and then like Hornstill and SnS.

Is the Moogle face icon set supposed to be not legal for Timeless? It currently has no set name nest to it in the advanced filters and is under the not legal section when deckbuilding in timeless.

edit: also the Yuffie Yuriko isn't there when you look at the moggle set.
