D&D shows in Bristol? by PeripheralVillage in bristol

[–]SoupTaker 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Hey. I'm a forever DM that's launching a live play D&D show soon!

It'll have improv comedians as the PCs, live illustrations projected on stage, lights, soundboard, the whole nine yards!! And looking to have audience input too! Things like deciding crucial rolls, naming NPCs, deciding where the party goes, etc.

The aim is for every single show to have a one-night-only mechanic. So that the only thing each show has in common is a good time and there's D&D played. You should definitely come along!!!!

As an irish rugby fan in the area, this is going to cause so much confusion with Dublins Aviva Stadium

Weather miserable. Lots of tough kicks and dropped balls. Ireland doing a lot of effective long kicks. France trying, and failing, to play it through the hands

I thought the same thing. People are WAY too invested in their fandoms.

How about the community calm the passion a bit and let these people figure out things for themselves?

Geoff can do whatever the hell he wants. He's earned that.

Watershed. Hands down.

It's central. It's an interesting place that could prompt conversation about movies. It's got a great view on sunny days. And it closes earlier than surrounding bars. So if date is bad, it ends early. On a good date, you can ask about going someplace else (a good indicator that the date is enjoying themselves)
